2017 Agnihotra Equinox Event

by Dr. Ulrich Berk

Equinox fires in Perth, Western Australia.
Equinox fire, from Jolanda Stots, Netherlands

Some years ago we started a Global Sacred Fire Event during the Equinox period, and it was a great success. So many people around the world had joined and Agnihotra fires moved around the planet at sunrise and sunset. This year we repeated this wonderful experience, creating a grid of Sacred Fires all around the world, to help build a critical mass to elevate consciousness on planet Earth.

From Regina Ehrmanntrout, Bergheim, Germany

On Spring and Autumn Equinoxes, the sun rises exactly in the East and sets in the West. That is why we have nearly exactly twelve hours of darkness and twelve hours of light on Equinox days. Both are especially important days to perform sunrise and sunset Agnihotra. Only on these two days are sunrise and sunset timings nearly identical regardless of where one is situated on Earth, if on the same longitude. (We suggested the dates from 21st to 23rd September so that for all continents the exact time of Equinox would be covered.)

With enough people performing Agnihotra wherever they are on Earth, this creates a powerful grid of Sacred Agnihotra Fires burning all the time, moving around the world along with sunrise and sunset.

Next year, we will invite participants to send a photo, if possible, of themselves and/or their Equinox fire, so that we can show more of our worldwide Agnihotra network in Satsang.

Vikarma is one’s specific allotted task in life. It is like one’s higher purpose in life, one’s calling or mission to fulfill. When we realize what our Vikarma is, from that moment on it is essentially our duty to find ways to accomplish it.

In the message that follows, Shree Vasant presented us with a challenge by asking simple, but vital questions we all need to ask ourselves and answer.

Shree Vasant On Vikarma
We pose one question to all of you present and to others who are near:

What are you doing in your life right now, which is a true act of SERVICE?

Of course, Agnihotra is an act of service for the whole planet. Now We are asking simply in your
individual lives—what are you doing to fulfill your VIKARMA? What are you doing as service on a
daily basis?

Life is precious. You all have a certain allotted time. What and how are you utilizing your lives to fulfill your highest purpose now?

There is no judgment, no set of instructions. Simply ask yourselves these questions and allow the
direction of your life to reveal itself.

For some this is a ‘wake up call.’ For others, a simple reminder.

How are you living your lives?
How are you being of SERVICE?
How are you fulfilling your true purpose in this life?

All Love All ways.

Inspired by the Vikarma message, members of our Ecovillage Bhrugu Aranya met together in a creative, inspiring workshop on Vikarma. We shared what we felt were our own callings in life. Then we discussed how to prioritize our lives in order to fulfill them. In the process, we uncovered blockages and discovered solutions, realizing the vital importance our Vikarma plays in each of our lives.

Members of the Ecovillage Bhrugu Aranya community meet for a Vikarma workshop.

The blockages to fulfilling Vikarma include the notorious ones—laziness, lack of faith, low self-esteem and fear. The solutions varied from more in-depth meditation to setting aside specific time for realizing long-term life goals.

We came up with our own resolutions, which we’ve been putting into action. Personally, I have set aside special times for prayer and healing. It has become a cherished time, which is now shared with the other women at the farm. I feel deeply nurtured in those times. The effects spill out into the rest of my life. Barry has committed to writing time daily. I also join him in that.

When we move toward fulfilling our Vikarma, the forces of Nature often align to assist us. We feel more connected to every living being, because we are really being true to our own nature.

Fulfilling our higher purpose in life is like turning the key to a place within where joy begins to rise. When we are doing what we came to do, there is a sense of peace that pervades our lives. We’ve had glimpses of that peace; we’ve experienced waves of that joy. We know the path home. It is a matter of weaving our way through life’s illusions and myriad distractions, to follow that way.

It was inspiring to remind ourselves why we are where we are and who we are, and how to use the gifts, blessings and guidance to become better instruments, ultimately to serve humanity.

ORION On Vikarma
Yes, yes. Ones of you who have been as fortunate as to have found your VIKARMA, your higher
purpose in this life, have an added responsibility to fulfill it in this lifetime. It’s not enough to
‘know’ it. VIKARMA is not something to be put on hold for when time permits or for a rainy day.

From the very moment your Vikarma is revealed to you—whether it is through an enlightened
teacher or your own inner exploration—that responsibility begins. Because, it is not revealed to you before you are ready to begin actualizing it—even if your thinking is otherwise.

Thus, an active day would resemble a workday, with sufficient breaks and time to fulfill worldly
and familial duties and chores. It is like a main focus and not an additional activity that gets
squeezed into an otherwise busy day.

If one’s Vikarma or higher purpose in life is healing, for example, one’s day shall include
whatever activities support and manifest healing. If the Vikarma is in the creative arts area, then
certainly the very act of creation should be a major part of one’s everyday schedule. If it is not,
one will likely feel something is missing in one’s life.

All you need do is to REMEMBER. You may call on Divine Beings, Angels, your personal guides
and teachers, to assist you in moving closer to the goal of actualizing your higher purpose in life.

When you seek help from Higher Realms there is generally no delay. Help comes faster from the
Higher Realms than it often does in the material world.

If you call a plumber you may have to wait for a response and certainly more time may pass
before service manifests!

Divine Realm is energy. Learn to trust it more and allow It to work with you. Help is waiting just for your call.

Blessings abound.

Scientific Aspects of Agnihotra: Agnihotra and Radioactivity

by Dr. Ulrich Berk

Until now we have covered the beneficial effects of Agnihotra and Agnihotra Ash on air, soil, and water resources. But there is one more environmental threat that affects all these areas and is especially dangerous as we do not detect it with our senses: this is radioactivity. Radioactivity became a problem on large scale during the second world war when the world saw the fatal destruction in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. After that there were several accidents in nuclear plants (not all of them known to the public); the worst were those in Chernobyl and in Fukushima. But there also was radioactive contamination by use of depleted uranium in bombs in different wars around the globe. Radioactive pollution has thus become a worldwide problem. Now the West Coast of U.S. is affected by winds and the waters of the Pacific Ocean bringing radioactive substances from the Fukushima catastrophe.

For biological, physical, and chemical pollution there are ways to degrade harmful substances. But if some substance is radioactive, you can heat it, you can try all kinds of chemical treatments, you can hammer on it or put high pressure – radioactivity is not affected by any of these measures. This is why normally radioactive substances have to be stored away for many generations, some substances even for thousands of years (depending on the half life of the isotopes contained).

In short, you can say that radioactive radiation is one of the biggest environmental threats nowadays, and modern science does not have a solution for that. With this background, it is really astonishing to see what Agnihotra and Homa Therapy could achieve.

First observation

The first observation was made on a Homa Farm in Austria after the Chernobyl catastrophe.

Karin Heschl, owner of that farm, writes:

“I had a farm in Kirchberg an der Raab, Styria, Austria in 1986 when the Chernobyl accident happened.

“I was practicing the principles of Homa Organic Farming, including sunrise/sunset Agnihotra, four hours daily Om Tryambakam Homa and twenty-four hours Homa on Full Moon and New Moon days.

“Immediately after the Chernobyl accident the Austrian Government issued instructions that samples of all milk and fodder in our area should be tested for radioactivity.

“Scientists were shocked to find that milk and fodder on my farm had normal radioactivity while all the surrounding farms had much higher radioactivity.”

Agnihotra Ash protects us

After that observation scientists from Eastern Europe were conducting experiments on the effect of Agnihotra and Agnihotra Ash on radioactivity. The leading physicist of that group, Miro Haber, stated the following as a résumé of this research:

“In physiological terms the body constantly exchanges all its elements (not cells). There are only some exceptions, like the lenses of the eyes and some parts of the nervous system. The mechanism of this exchange of elements in the body is not exactly known. For this exchange the body constantly needs elements like calcium, copper, iron etc. As long as these elements are not radioactive the body functions normally. Our body can deal well with the natural radioactivity which has been existing since millions of years on this planet. However, since the Chernobyl accident we are dealing with a much increased manmade radioactivity. Many radioactive elements like Caesium, Iodine, Ferric etc. have fallen onto this earth. The half-life period of these isotopes is rather high for some of them. They went from the air into the earth, from there into our food – salads, vegetables, fruits. Through our food we absorb radioactive elements. This is because our body cannot distinguish whether an element is radioactive or not, and thus it absorbs the element without selection. Once a radioactive element is stored in the body it radiates all the time (like a lighthouse) and destroys the cells in its surroundings. The body reacts with an infection (with luck the radioactive element is thereby thrown out of the body) or it reacts with a tumor, with cancer.

How can we avoid the absorption of radioactive elements into our body? The answer is simple – we have to give the body each element in a natural (non-radioactive) form. Once the body is saturated with these elements, any radioactive versions of these elements thereafter are not absorbed by the body any longer. It very quickly gets rid of them. The newly absorbed non-radioactive elements will by and by replace the radioactive substances which we had absorbed in earlier time  and which our body had stored.

Now where do we get these non-radioactive elements from in order to protect our body? The experiment that was conducted some time ago has shown that the Agnihotra ash (which at the time was produced by about 40 participants according to special directions of Mister Haber) was not radioactive, even though the ingredients were radioactive.

How this mechanism of changing radioactive elements into non-radioactive elements works we do not yet understand. It cannot be explained, neither by modern chemistry nor by physics. But the result has been tested several times, always with the same outcome: The Agnihotra ash just had natural radioactivity.

Also the Agnihotra ash contains all the 92 natural chemical elements. In this way the body’s total requirement can be covered.

Therefore, it is suggested to everybody to eat say a teaspoon of Agnihotra ash before every meal. Most important is in the morning. An easier way would be to make tablets from the ash which can easily be taken (as people are used to taking tablets).“

Agnihotra Ash neutralizes radioactivity in food

After the Fukushima catastrophe, an experiment was done in the Physics Institute of Academy of Science, Kiev, Ukraine (formerly part of Soviet Union).

Japanese rice from Fukushima area contaminated with radioactive isotopes Cs-137 and Cs-134 (the radioactivity was about 200 Bq/kg) was taken in a quantity of 50 grams and mixed with a water solution of Agnihotra ash – one spoon in one litre of water.

Spectrometric measurements of the mix of water, Agnihotra ash and radioactive rice were conducted in a device called “Food Light” which allows one to measure levels of radioactivity in a short time.

The measurement of the background radioactivity was at the level of 8 Bq [Becquerel]. The measurements of a sample (the mix, which included 50 grams of radioactive rice) showed that initially during the first and the second day the radioactivity was at the same level, 200 Bq/kg.

Then during the next days, third and fourth, the radioactive level of the sample went down to about 160 Bq/kg.

Then the measurement of the sample was not done for about 10 days. After that the measurement again was performed – on 14th and 15th days.

These last two days the background radiation was 3 Bq.  The measurements on 14th and 15th days showed that the sample did not have any radioactivity; the level of radioactivity was the same as the background, 3 Bq/kg.

Result: Agnihotra Ash water completely neutralized radioactivity of the rice in the sample studied in two weeks.

It is advisable to take Agnihotra Ash at least three times per day, preferably before the meals. Also good to soak food such as vegetables and fruits in Agnihotra Ash water overnight before eating.

We are planning a Homa Organic Farm project close to the wrecked reactors near Fukushima, Japan, to see how these ancient techniques can help to neutralize radioactivity in soil, water, and atmosphere and bring Nature back to harmony.

Yes, yes. Indeed, this is a celebration of great proportions, held around the world. Though greatly commercialized, the spirit of humanity is championed on this one day.

If only, human beings could realize the true meaning behind the words they hold so dear, yet defile and defy with actions not at all in line with their chosen reverence.

The true gift behind ‘Love thy neighbor as thyself,’ the wisdom behind ‘Do unto others as you would have them do unto you’ appears to be lost amidst today’s divisiveness and prejudicial rhetoric.

We urge all who attune to a higher calling in life, to truly embrace the teachings of the Holy Ones in all you speak, in all you do.

Live your lives in a spirit of humility.

Seek to serve those in need, not just those from whom you seek favor.
Indeed, blessed be the meek.

Hold fast to your Truth, as it is revealed to you in your hearts.

Do not be dismayed or disillusioned by outside sources, by the unkindness of others, by hatred and bias. These are not your callings. Why answer them?

May your hearts ring true for all humanity to feel and to hear.

There is more Light than appears.
May you always seek the Light.

Blessings abound.

December 26, 2017 On Power of Mantras
Yes, yes. Divine makes use of all elements in Nature and beyond your Nature, to usher in the true New Era. One element, one of greatest power, is the element of SOUND.

Through revival of ancient Mantras that seed the clouds for healing rains, that alter consciousness of humanity and call into being the Presence of Almighty in a palpable, apparent form—Mantras hold the key to greatest expansion of the intellect to break through self-imposed and outer-imposed limitations. If one can intellectually understand meaning, cadence, rhythm and importance of Mantras, and simultaneously rise above that awareness into the level of vibration in SOUND, one can indeed make highest use of one’s intellect, yet surpass the limitations of it and embrace the profound shift Mantras are designed to create.

Powerful Mantras draw our brother Jacob [Jacob Sawyer of Ecovillage Bhrugu Aranya–Ed.]. He is not learning, but relearning what Mantras are already imprinted in the fabric of his soul. It is on his soul level that he resonates most with ancient Mantras, the oldest of which will be the ones to draw him most.

His soul is aware of his ancient connection to Mantras, but the ego remains unattached to this realization, which allows him to evolve without the trappings the ego would often carry. This being has neither time nor patience for even his own ego’s calling. Very good to see a truly no-nonsense approach.

The other elements are equally as present in the evolution of planet Earth. Ancient symbols, designs and motifs’ resurgence is neither random nor accidental. We find it interesting that Jacob’s work involves elements of Sound and that of visual symbols.

Indeed, continue your Mandala drawing, dear one. Each Mandala holds healing vibration.

To combine art and music is a powerful use of elements for energetic transformation. OM.

December 27, 2017 On Fulfilling of Your Mission in Life
Yes, yes, yes. It is high time to hone the gifts given you all, and use them to create a world that welcomes and nourishes all human life.

To sit with blessings and talents, letting the creative mind lie fallow, giving into the downward pull of inertia, can only deplete beings of much-needed vital energy.

When one utilizes the great gifts given by Grace, one activates the seeds within, enabling them to grow and to shine as Light in these darkest times.

Yes, fulfill your missions in life, dear brothers and sisters in the Light. It is high time!

Blessings abound.

Vision and blood pressure improvement

I am the proprietor of an engineering factory in Belgaum, Karnataka where we practice Agnihotra every day. I am 45 years old and I perform Agnihotra regularly. When I practice Agnihotra I stare at the flames with my bare eyes.

My eye glasses’ diopter number has reduced thrice in last 2 years: Right Eye from -1.0 to -0.25 & Left Eye from -2.0 to -1.0. ( received the previous and the recent copies of the test reports, confirming this improvement.–Ed.)

Also I was hypertensive a few years back. After performing Agnihotra for one year regularly, with the physician’s approval I have stopped taking the blood pressure tablets for past 3 years.

Pulmonary emphysema

In two months I will be 80 years old. As background information, I have been a heavy smoker for more than 30 years, I usually smoked 2 packets of cigarettes a day and on weekends and holidays, I smoked close to 3 packets.

I need to say that during those 30 years I also worked spraying agro-chemicals in the fields from a small plane. At first, this was done with the torso exposed to the air. Later, the cockpit was covered, and this was even more dangerous, because the fumes concentrated in the cabin. These gases are highly toxic. So I got a throat cancer and I had surgery 10 years ago.

Some years ago, I started to feel ill and could only walk for a short time, because my legs hurt. When I went for a walk with my wife I had to sit down after two blocks, even if it was on the sidewalk. I had to rest for a while before continuing and I could not climb stairs. I decided to go to the doctor, because the situation was very complex. Rolling over in bed produced such fatigue and I could not breathe. I had to remain still.

I saw a doctor, went through a series of tests, had X-rays taken and the diagnosis was that I had pulmonary emphysema, which I was told is an incurable and irreversible disease. The doctor said that I had to take remedies for life and that I could not stop taking them for anything. I took the prescribed medications for 2 years and spent at least 450 soles every month. ($1 USD = 2.7 soles)

Then I started doing Homa Therapy. Every day, evening and morning I did Agnihotra. Since I felt well, we decided to make a trip abroad after approximately six or eight months. One day during the trip, because I felt so good, I stopped taking the drugs. I simply stopped taking them and have not used them again. That was 18 months ago.

Now, I go to the gym every day and do weight lifting and I feel good. In the last review of oxygenation, the doctor said, “Jorge, you are better oxygenated than I am. I have a level of 95% and you got 98%.”

Since three months, I have not visited any doctor and I feel very well.

From Shree Vasant’s Teachings

On Judgment
You must harbor no ill will towards anyone, no matter what they say or do. Practice Tapa of speech.

Without judging any of these people who are practicing Agnihotra, write to them with all humility. Whether or not, for example, a person has caused problems in places where he has lived is not the criterion for response.

We are never to judge another person on the basis of their spiritual development or for any reason. Judgment is never an appropriate response.

If you are guiding others to the truth, you have to strive to be as humble as possible, as clear as possible, and as patient as possible. It is easy to say, “You should do this. You should be this way.” But WHEN YOU REMOVE JUDGMENT AS A WAY TO COMMUNICATE, THEN YOU MUST RELY ON EXAMPLE. By example you can teach. By example people will learn. Words can be helpful only when spoken with clarity and patience, humility and understanding.

All the treasures which you seek already lie within you. Not deep–very near. At one’s hand. Release all judgment. Take notice of others around you but refuse to form judgments about anyone. You observe, but you do not judge. You feel, but you do not judge. You listen, but you do not judge. Then there is real listening and loving.

It is important to entertain no judgment. No judgment of any sort. Imagine if the world was full of people who did not pass judgment. There is so much joy inside your heart. Release all judgment. Then there is no expectation, no disappointment. Only LOVE.

On Anger
If you react with anger to injustice in the world, you will be angry round the clock.

On Healing
When a person is to be healed, when it is your wish to heal, then you offer this to the Almighty Father. Simply say, “Thy will be done.” If the person is to be healed through your touch, your prayer or even your thought–which is also possible–then it is His will, not your own.

On Humility
At this stage you really have to go into more humility. You are becoming more and more humble, but you have to take hold of experiences with very difficult people who test your reactions all the time. These very people will help you achieve humility.

On Positive Thoughts and Emotions
Do not allow negative thoughts and emotions. At least if you have such thoughts do not act on them. Do not speak badly about anyone, whether it is a people or an individual. Say only positive things. You will draw only positive to you. Nothing negative will happen to you because you are creating only positive. It is law of cause and effect, law of Karma. Do not let fear enter your awareness.

On Living the Fivefold Path
More meditations. Dance. Chant. Assimilate all that you have been given. More silent meditation. Affirm the holy in all manner of thought, word and deed. Never utter a single word of judgment. Never utter a single word condemning another. Take care what you think, hence what is your written word. Let it always be of TRUTH.

Fivefold Path for Happy Living

1. Yajnya
HOMA Therapy is the science of purification of the atmosphere through the agency of FIRE. AGNIHOTRA HOMA (YAJNYA) is the basic HOMA. It is tuned to the biorhythm of sunrise/sunset and gives nutrients to the plant kingdom, removes diseases in a certain area and removes tension on the mind. This is the basic process in the science of medicine, agriculture, climate engineering and interplanetary communication.
2. Daan
Sharing of your assets in a spirit of humility. This corrects imbalance in financial matters and creates non-attachment to worldly possessions.
3. Tapa
Self-discipline of body and mind. This is conducive to a change in attitudes of mind and body. It results in a harmonious state of mind.
4. Karma
“You reap as you sow.” Always practicing good Karma (actions) diminishes the burden of negative Karma and one begins to invest in his own future. This means that what you do today will bring its fruits. Sowing seeds of love and kindness will bless my garden with plenty of love. Do Karma for self purification.
5. Swadhyaya
Practice Swadhyaya (Self-study) for liberation. Who am I? Why am I here? My work on this planet is to learn to react with total LOVE with each opportunity given to me.
This is the Fivefold Path for happy living on the planet. By practicing the Fivefold Path you become better members of your society, group, religion, community, etc.
