“Om Shree” Spreads Homa Therapy through Music, Homa and Mantra

Dennis and Gillian Jansen
The Netherlands

Since the year 2022 Homa Therapy teachers Gillian and Dennis Jansen from the Netherlands started a new chapter in the journey to share the knowledge of Agnihotra and Homa Therapy and took this fully onto the stage.

We started ourselves with Agnihotra around 2011. After a few years we took the Homa Therapy Teacher Training course given by our friends and colleagues from Homa Therapy Poland at Ecovillage Bhrugu Aranya, Poland. We started to give classes and seminars at private locations, festivals, spiritual fairs and more in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. The idea of starting to write music came after we visited the Somayag in 2017 in Maheshwar, India.

Back home from India, the experience of meeting people from all over the world, coming together and sharing the work of Homa Therapy and Shree knowledge was so overwhelming that the first “song” written was the Aarti that was heard during the Somayag. The process of writing and making more demo songs took several years.

After the Coronavirus situation, things slowly started to work out, so that we created Homa mantra seminars in combination with music during 2022. This seems to be a success. After a few months we organized our first concert in Raalte under the name, “ Om Shree- Homa & Mantra Experience.” The location was an old synagogue.

During this concert we performed our own written music with the Homa mantras. This combination had a tremendous powerful effect on people. After the concert we received so many reactions– especially what people experienced through emotions, energies, images and old negative energy that was transformed–that this concert was a journey into their own personal process.

We knew afterwards that Shree had showed us a piece of our Vikarma, and that was bringing Agnihotra and Homa Therapy to the stage. From stories, we heard that Shree Vasant loved music, so that was the reason to call the mantra  group “Om Shree.”  We, as “ Om Shree – Homa & Mantra Experience” are the first mantra group worldwide that uses Homa  Therapy, music and mantras onstage.1

In the summer of 2022 we spoke to producer/drummer Casper Bongers, whom Dennis knew from a theater production. He was interested to record some mantra songs at his studio.
During the autumn of 2020, there were two lovely musicians, Nico and Caren, who joined “ Om Shree” with more vocals, percussion and guitar. Their uplifting energy and percussion took the music to a higher level. A New Year’s Eve concert was organized in the Amsterdam area, which invited new people into the Homa Therapy experience. Around February we visited the studio for the first recording sessions.

One of the mantra songs that will be on the album is “ Idam na mama.” The energy behind the song is fully in “ total surrender.”  We asked Homa Therapy Teacher Dr. Henry Gregory to explain his vision of “ Idam na mama. ”  That which he tells will be in the recorded song.

Several mantras are taken from the 5 A.M. Mantras. The music creates a different atmosphere around the mantras.

The recordings were finished at the end of March. The first studio album of “ Om Shree” will be finished around the summer/autumn of 2023. The CD will be released worldwide.

We will be in touch will all Homa Therapy organizations worldwide to see if they could promote this CD. This CD will be an  homage to all Agnihotra and Homa Therapy practitioners in the world.

Soon after the CD is finished Om Shree will set up a European tour to promote our new CD.
Maybe in the future overseas concerts will be possible, too.

The website of “ OM SHREE” is www.omshreemusic.com.
We also have a Facebook page called” Om Shree Mantra & Homa experience.

Throughout His years of spreading Homa Therapy, Shree Vasant encouraged music and singing wherever He went.  He was delighted whenever the groups He visited pulled out their instruments and burst into song. Years ago in Satsang He wrote, “More music and dance therapy required. In conjunction with Agnihotra, it is very powerful and attractive to people also.”

1In Baltimore, Maryland, U.S., dancer, actress, storyteller and longtime Agnihotra practitioner Maria Broom has for many decades opened countless performances with Homa fire and the Vyahruti mantra. Also in Baltimore, from 1981-1983, some of the music performed by the Satya Dharma Youth Band (directed by longtime Agnihotra practitioner Jamal Wilson) included songs which incorporated Homa Therapy mantras.–Ed.

Earth Day at Ecovillage Bhrugu Aranya

Parvati Rosen Bizberg
Jordanow, Poland
On April 22, 2023, our Homa Therapy Foundation held an Earth Day celebration at Ecovillage Bhrugu Aranya in Poland. We were blessed with wonderful spring weather, radiant sunshine and a great group of vibrant, friendly and interested people!

After a tour of our Homa farm ecovillage, from houses and gardens to the Centre of Light, we shared a delicious all organic vegetarian/vegan feast, followed by a lively music jam led by our resident musicians. Guests joined in, as the children all played happily on our little playground. The joyous sounds of children’s laughter ringing through the orchard harmonized with the instruments we all played.

Later, a healing circle with fire and crystal bowls brought us together in prayer for our Mother Earth.

Agnihotra that evening was strong and deep. We gathered for a mass Agnihotra on the balcony of the Centre of Light, overlooking the still snow-covered Tatra Mountains. We all brought our pyramids and filled the atmosphere with the healing energies of the sacred fire.

As the fires flickered to the end, we felt a wave of gratitude for such a beautiful day and for the blessing of this amazing healing tool we have to share with the world, and dedicate it to our beloved Mother Earth.

All love from your Homa family here in Poland.

On Children

The following message was received by Parvati Rosen Bizberg in meditation.

April 23, 2023 Shree
Now, all over the world, but especially in America and now coming in Europe,
there is so much mental illness. Now it is not only teenagers and young
adults. Now it has reached the point where small children are becoming

In homes where Agnihotra is performed, the energy is so much clearer and
more pure. And more protection is there. So, this is one solution to offer the
people; especially if you are performing therapy, you can offer that.

But now, can you imagine, you know the stress levels are so high. And now
that fear—when they go to school, they are all afraid it could happen
anywhere, these mass shootings. It could happen anywhere. It has
happened in small towns, not only big cities, not only difficult regions, but
also in very calm and peaceful places. Now it has gone way out of control.

So, be always grateful that you have been blessed with this fire. And do
your best to share it with others. And have deep compassion for those who
do not have it.

All love and blessings to the children now.

Greetings from Mauritius

Janardhun Nuckched, far right, with friends/acquaintances.

It is interesting to note that here in Mauritius, we belong to different spiritual organizations,  namely the Art of Living, Sai Baba, Iskon, Reiki, Brahmakumari, Prem Rawat Foundation, Shivyog, Sadguru among others. We are even from different religious backgrounds. Agnihotra is the practice that is bringing us together. Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar tells about Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam [Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam is a Sanskrit phrase which means “The World Is One Family”-Ed.], and through Agnihotra we are contributing to the one world family.

Experiences with Homa Therapy

Igor’s Story
In 2003 a German shepherd puppy, came
to our family. His parents were legally
registered, that is, he was purebred. The first
night he spent alone in his house in the yard;
he didn’t cry at all. He was always very strong,
and little by little he became our very good
guard. He did not let anyone in, he was very
territorial and he grew up strong and healthy. He loved to play ball with my children.

This breed has the problem that upon reaching the age of 7 they begin with a degenerative disease and this happened to Igor, too. We took him to the vet, where they examined him. They did many tests, but the conclusion was that there was nothing to be done.

Since he was already sick, he was prescribed corticosteroids for life. But even taking those, he couldn’t move freely, he passed his days just lying on his blanket and one could tell
that he was suffering.

I had learned to practice the Homa fires and began to give him Agnihotra ash, morning and night mixed with his food and with tomato sauce. Igor participated by accompanying me
every day when I performed Agnihotra. And in just one month, he was able to get back
on his feet without any problem! He played again, his fur changed and he was

He did not take any more corticosteroids and no other medication, only Agnihotra ash.

The life expectancy of this breed is approximately 9 years. When Igor reached his 13th
birthday, he stopped consuming the Agnihotra ash. He did not want to eat any more. Even though his physical problems disappeared and never came back, I understood that his time was coming to a close. When he turned 14, he left. And he left very much like a grandfather, in peace, without pain, without illness. Igor just left. That was in 2017. Igor had exceeded his life expectancy by many years. Agnihotra ash used as medicine works really wonders!
With affection I share this testimony with the Agnihotra community.

After regularly performing evening Agnihotra, I observed several positive changes in my life. One of them was the sudden aversion to non-vegetarian food. I had been a meat and fish person. But, a week after starting to perform Agnihotra, I developed feelings of disgust towards these foods. I started to
adopt a vegetarian diet and no longer have these sudden hunger attacks.

It has been over a month since I started doing Agnihotra and I feel very energized and positive, among other things. Overall, both mentally and physically I feel like a better version of myself and I would like to share this message with everyone.

I believe that just like human beings, even animals have a life of their own
and we should try not to cause them harm. I believe that this Karmic cycle is strong. Do good and good will come to you

From Shree Vasant’s Teachings

On Daan
Daan, which is the second step on the Fivefold Path, is an important step which leads us closer to the truth. Once we learn to share our assets in a spirit of humility, we begin to become less and less attached to the fruit of our labors. We learn to relinquish the hold we have placed on our many possessions and the grip of incessant desires begins to loosen gradually. This does not mean simply to give all our worldly accumulations to charity. This does not mean to squander our wealth by giving it to those less deserving of it. This does not mean giving up desires. This simply means to learn to share with others whom we know will benefit from the act of sharing and to do this unselfishly, without placing expectation on the other person. It requires discrimination on our part to whom we are to give, and further it requires that we give in a humble way, without want of praise or admiration.

Daan, the second step on the Fivefold Path, is an exercise in discipline, resulting in good action and giving way to self study in the end.

On Swadhyaya (Self study)
Truth does not come. It is always there. We simply cleanse our minds and clarify this thinking process which so often inhibits our own growth and development Now all that is required is that Love without attachment. If you can be full of love without making any effort, then you are a very special human being. For those who need to make an effort, Fivefold Path is offered free and for all people. We, all of us, are one. In our own individual search for Truth, for love, for happiness, let us not forget we are one.

On Fivefold Path
All aspects of Fivefold Path will apply to daily life or are integrated as a whole. Proper practice of these simple principles in daily life leads to a better understanding of others as well as ourselves. It enhances our own quest for truth and brings us closer to the state of Love for which all of us are in need.

Fivefold Path for Happy Living

1. Yajnya
HOMA Therapy is the science of purification of the atmosphere through the agency of FIRE. AGNIHOTRA HOMA (YAJNYA) is the basic HOMA. It is tuned to the biorhythm of sunrise/sunset and gives nutrients to the plant kingdom, removes diseases in a certain area and removes tension on the mind. This is the basic process in the Vedic sciences of medicine, agriculture, climate engineering and interplanetary communication.
2. Daan
Sharing of your assets in a spirit of humility. This corrects imbalance in financial matters and creates non-attachment to worldly possessions.
3. Tapa
Self-discipline of body and mind. This is conducive to a change in attitudes of mind and body. It results in a harmonious state of mind.
4. Karma
“You reap as you sow.” Always practicing good Karma (actions) diminishes the burden of negative Karma and one begins to invest in his own future. This means that what you do today will bring its fruits. Sowing seeds of love and kindness will bless my garden with plenty of love. Do Karma for self-purification.
5. Swadhyaya
Practice Swadhyaya (Self-study) for liberation. Who am I? Why am I here? My work on this planet is to learn to react with total LOVE with each opportunity given to me.

This is the Fivefold Path for happy living on the planet. By practicing the Fivefold Path you become better members of your society, group, religion, community, etc.
