Homa Farms Around the World-Part 2

Ecovillage Bhrugu Aranya – Homa Farm Community

Rory Maher

Bee-attracting flowers in bloom.

Ecovillage Bhrugu Aranya, in southern Poland, is located on 5 hectares of beautiful countryside surrounded by forests with a stunning view of the Tatra Mountains. It is not, however, considered a farming area. Being 2000 feet (610 m) above sea level with a Central European climate, the growing season is short. Even in summer, we have a great number of cold nights. The soil is heavy clay with a thin layer of topsoil, and is classified as the 2nd poorest grade for farming.

Even so, a vegetable garden was started here using Homa organic techniques in the mid 90’s, and that first year there was great success growing different vegetables, even tomatoes. It was then decided that we should have the soil tested in a laboratory. The results showed that the soil was very acidic and we were actually told that nothing would grow here, best not even to try! They had no idea that we were already successfully growing vegetables, and we attribute this success to the effects of Homa atmosphere and Agnihotra ash.

Some of the farm’s bounty, including packaged herbal teas.

Soil acidity is a big agricultural problem around the world, and our experience has shown that, with Agnihotra and Homa Organic practices, one can still farm in these conditions. Over the years, subsequent laboratory soil analyses have shown an improvement in the acidity of the gardens and pastures. This is not so surprising in the gardens, maybe, where we have used dolomite lime as a soil amendment to raise the Ph, but in the open fields where little has been done, the level of acidity has decreased thanks to Homa Therapy alone.

We love squash, zucchini and pumpkins!

At the Ecovillage, we perform Agnihotra daily in the garden Shala, at the Resonance Point, and also at various houses on the land. Plus, shared between the community residents, we do 5 hours Om Tryambakam Homa daily, and 24 hours on Full and No Moon days. We use Agnihotra ash in the compost and on the garden beds, and when planting seeds or transplanting seedlings, a little Agnihotra ash is added to the planting area to help energize the soil and seed, and reduce transplanting shock. We sprinkle Agnihotra ash around weak or diseased plants.

We also make Agnihotra ash solution, which we spray on plants, and can be used to spray and energize larger areas such as fields and orchard, which would otherwise require large amounts of Agnihotra Ash. In addition, we make Homa Biosol using fresh cow dung, vermicompost, and Agnihotra ash mixed with water and allowed to break down in an anaerobic bio-digester. Depending on the dilution, this nutrient-rich liquid fertilizer is used as a foliar spray or directly on the soil.

We have 4 healthy and well-loved cows, which on our Homa Farm play a very important role; not only do they produce cow dung and some ghee for the Yajnyas, they also create a natural cycle where their manure can be used as compost in the gardens. We also have vermiculture beds, where the cow manure is broken down by earthworms into castings to produce vermicompost. This makes an amazing rich compost that can be used in the garden beds and is a main ingredient of Biosol.

Two of our four cows.

Traditionally, the only crops that farmers grow in our heavy clay area are potatoes, beans and grains. In the past, we have also grown spelt and potatoes in fields, but the community has mainly concentrated on caring for a Mandala vegetable garden, greenhouses and a medicinal herb garden.

In our concentric circle vegetable garden, we grow many varieties such as leafy greens, sweet corn, beans, cabbage family, squash family and root vegetables, interspersed with culinary and medicinal herbs. We use intensive raised bed methods that have allowed us to build good soil over the years, in which we can grown varieties not common to the area.

In the greenhouses we grow early salad crops, followed by tomatoes, cucumbers, and hot and sweet peppers. As we have organic certification we get yearly inspections from the organic association and the inspector is always amazed by how healthy and productive our cucumbers and tomatoes are, stating that in this area hardly anyone has success due to diseases.

It is so amazing how healthy our plants are with the conditions we have. Yes, one still needs to apply good organic principles, but without the Agnihotra atmosphere and Homa techniques, we surely would not have such great success. The flavour and nutritiousness of our Homa fruit and vegetables far surpass even the organic ones from shops.

Rory Maher checks the beehives.

We also have around 12 honey bee families on the farm that thrive in the Homa atmosphere and give us incredible healing products such as delicious honey and medicinal propolis, and beeswax to make medicinal creams. We add Agnihotra ash to the water sources that they like to drink from, and sprinkle some over the beehive entrances. Many experienced beekeepers locally have suffered large honeybee losses in recent years due to diseases, varroa mite infestation and agrochemical poisoning. We find our bees to be extremely healthy thanks to Homa Therapy. We also have a very old apple and plum orchard, and since we started keeping bees it is amazing how they pollinate the fruit trees and increase the fruit harvests.

The ecovillage has a Medicinal Herb Garden where we grow anything from Chamomile and Sage to Echinacea, Marshmallow and Teasel, to name but a few. Herbs grown in a Homa atmosphere have greater medicinal properties and we harvest and dry these herbs and those growing wild on the farm to make teas and other remedies. The culinary herbs have strong flavours and aromas, while even our Chamomile, which is usually only mildly calming, is potent enough to induce a good night’s sleep!

Every day at Bhrugu Aranya, before we start working in the gardens, on the land, or with our honey bees, we gather in the centre of the Mandala Garden and do a Deva Attunement. Devas are nature beings that carry out specific allotted tasks on the subtle realms, directing the forces of creation and development in nature. We can call on them for help as we work in planning the garden, in bed preparation, planting etc. They love curves and circular design gardens.

During our attunements, we thank the Devas for their work and ask that we be open to their guidance during the day. We ask that we be open to receive any healing from Mother Earth, and we commit to working with peace, love and joy in our hearts. We acknowledge their presence and respectfully ask for their cooperation, so that we can be more intuitively aware of the needs of the garden, plants and animals.

Gardens do not exist in the wild; they can only exist with the cooperation of humankind. They are creative, sacred places where man and nature work in harmony together. Devas are intrinsically linked to creation, and strive to fulfil their tasks according to a Divine plan. When they are acknowledged, invited into a garden and cooperated with, you feel their gratitude and a special relationship ensues. When we do these attunements, we set a higher focus for the day, and we deepen our intuitive and spiritual connection to nature. Agnihotra and other Yajnyas help to nourish the Devic and subtle realms, and they are attracted to the vibration of love created by these healing fires.

We are so grateful to be able to live at such a special place as Ecovillage Bhrugu Aranya, where we can heal ourselves and nature through Homa Therapy, nourish ourselves with nutrient-rich foods, and use medicinal herbs to make potent remedies. To stand in the middle of the garden on a summer day surrounded by the buzz of bees, the song of birds, the smell of herbs and the healthy glow of the plants, is a blessing that feeds the soul. Having a community garden brings us all together in a shared experience that makes our bonds stronger within the magic of nature.

Homa Farming at the Homa-Hof Heiligenberg

Birgitt Heigl
Germany

There is a Homa centre in Southern Germany that has been in existence for over 30 years – the Homa-Hof Heiligenberg. On several hectares of land, Homa organic farming is practiced here by volunteers, It has been researched and is taught free of charge. The successes through the Vedic Homa fires are so enormous that they can be seen as a solution to many of today’s problems.

Our First Experiences
The Homa-Hof is situated at an altitude of about 730 metres. The climate can be described as harsh and borderline for vegetable and fruit cultivation. The soils were supposed to be unsuitable for growing vegetables. It was ideal for us to explore what the Homa method can do.

Even though none of us knew anything about farming, we started growing vegetables. We regularly performed Agnihotra and other Yajnyas, and the resulting ash was put on the fields. The surprise came when we harvested the crops. Not only did everything grow excellently, the crops became so big, healthy and shiny in appearance that some did not want to believe that this was all ‘organic.’

Full of joy, we observed how nature came into balance in a very short time in this atmosphere purified by Yajnyas, and thus a source of healthy, energy-rich food was created.

Healthy and abundant Homa crops.

The Basis of Homa Farming
In 1988 there was hardly any experience in Homa farming and so we started to try, test and research. What we knew were two things in particular:

First, the importance of performing the Yajnyas daily. They bring about an enormous purification, harmonization and increase in vitality of all life. We had already been able to experience this in earlier years. As became clear later, Agnihotra purifies the air and enriches it with beneficial nutrients. Since the combustion process releases small amounts of carbon, these nutrients can be directly ‘inhaled’ by the plants, strengthening and protecting them. Sometimes it is enough to perform a single Agnihotra under a sick tree to make it recover.

A special effect is attributed to the smoke produced by Agnihotra, the effect of which is said to reach up to great heights. Toxic loads in the air and atmosphere are neutralized and the multiplication of pathogens is reduced. Thus, the rain brings purified, energetically charged water back to Earth.

Secondly, the resulting ash is used. It contains almost all the elements of the periodic table in a harmonious ratio. We had the ash examined in a laboratory, where it was found that important elements such as phosphorus, potassium and magnesium are present in such high quantities that elsewhere you would find them in strong soil fertilizers only. In addition, the ash is extremely alkaline (pH value of approx. 10.3), so that over-acidification of the soil is counteracted. [Homa Farming has been used successfully to treat both overly alkaline and overly acidic soils.–Ed.] It has been researched that the phosphorus in the soil becomes water-soluble through Agnihotra.

Adding Agnihotra ash to the soil.

The Practice of Homa Farming
From the beginning we performed Agnihotra and other Yajnyas regularly and as close to the fields as possible. This is the basic requirement of Homa Farming. The Agnihotra ash also brings great benefits:

Seeds, bulbs, and seedlings are mixed with Agnihotra ash or watered with Agnihotra ash water before planting.

For the field and garden, Agnihotra ash is spread by hand on beds and fields. It can also be given to the plants together with water. The amount of Agnihotra ash needed is small. For larger areas, about 5 tablespoons of ash are sufficient for 200 liters of water, and about 20 tablespoons for 1000 liters of water. You can also sparingly give some ash to potted plants and water them with ash-water.

We had almost no problems with pest infestation or plant diseases. If it did happen, we watered more often with ash-water which was very helpful.

The Homa-Hof farming team

What Does Agnihotra Do in Gardening and Agriculture?
Over the years we have gained a lot of experience. The plants have grown healthily and vigorously most of the time. Size and appearance could often be described as spectacular. Further experiences were:

  • Through Agnihotra an active soil life with numerous beneficial micro-organisms and earthworms is achieved. A vibrant, loose, fertile and healthy humus is the result.
  • The plants suffer less from drought. They can also cope with relatively little water.
  • They form larger and stronger roots and can thus absorb more nutrients.
  • The structure of the plants is harmonized.
  • Vegetables and fruits have an excellent taste.
  • Cabbage varieties are much more digestible (they rarely cause flatulence).
  • The plants often become very large, with good quality at the same time.
  • The immune power of the plants increases. They are hardly susceptible to plant diseases any more.
  • The crops have a much longer shelf life.
  • Their shiny appearance makes it clear that they are healthy and grew in a good atmosphere.
  • The diversity of beneficial insects increases, while pests are hardly ever found.
  • Birds (including birds of prey) are attracted by Homa and help to maintain the biological balance.

Last but not least: Homa organic farming is very cheap because no chemical inputs are needed.

How Does Homa Farming Work?
In today’s world, it must be assumed that the air, water and earth are polluted with harmful substances. The first concern is therefore to purify them. This is possible through Homa. Studies show that pathogenic germs in the air are reduced by up to more than 90%, and fine dust pollution is significantly reduced. In the soil, microorganisms ensure detoxification of the soil. Yajnyas stimulate and support this process.

Many of the effects caused by Agnihotra are based on processes in the subtle energy field. Through Kirlian photography, in water crystal pictures according to Dr. Emoto and other tests, an immediate harmonization and raising of the energy could be shown. This happens with humans and animals as well as with plants. A harmonious flow of energy, as it can be achieved through Agnihotra, indicates a harmonious cell function and is therefore the basis for health! Food from Homa farming is a source of subtle energy that can be ingested through food.

After more than 30 years of experience and research at the Homa-Hof, we can recommend Homa farming to every farmer, gardener or garden owner, with full conviction. Not only your own harvest, but the whole ecosystem will benefit.

Homa-A Blessing for All
Homa-Hof Heiligenberg has become a special place of power where we live according to Vedic principles and pass them on free of charge in lectures, seminars and webinars. Countless trainees and volunteers have already learned here and subsequently practiced themselves. Over the years, thousands and thousands of people have experienced the blessings of the Homa fires. We are not only actively working for a better world, but also support others who want to do the same. Thus, in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, there are now fruit growers, vintners, market gardens, organic farmers, allotment gardeners, etc. who successfully integrate the Yajnyas into their operations. Homa can be combined with any organic cultivation method. In biodynamic cultivation, for example, the energizing of the preparations can be done with Agnihotra ash. EM (Effective Microorganisms) and Yajnyas complement each other wonderfully. Permaculture experiences a new quality through Homa. Man and nature thus live in a harmonious symbiosis – give and take are balanced here.

Because Vedic knowledge works holistically, it is also a blessing in many other areas. Our experiences include animal husbandry, beekeeping, harmonization of the climate, enhancement of water, health of humans and animals, help for the psyche. Yajnyas have a balancing effect on stress; the life energy (prana or chi) is strengthened and can flow harmoniously again, and finally they promote one’s own inner spiritual growth.

Timely Message for All

December 18, 2021 Shree Vasant
(as received via Parvati Rosen Bizberg in meditation)
This is a critical point humanity has reached. So much despair and desperation, it can be seen on all the faces. During an intense period of full moon, particularly this full moon, it is of utmost importance to turn within to source the strength and wisdom which lies within each of you.

By Grace, you have received such a precious tool which is beneficial to all human beings, animals and plants, and fills Earth’s much-depleted atmosphere with necessary nutrients to combat these dark energies. Those of you blessed to carry the healing vibration of Agnihotra to all the people have a responsibility to the planet. It is truly a blessing to have this great tool to strengthen your resolve and to help you to go within.

You have to guard against falling into despair or desperation, as you see all around you. Utilize the fire to become calm and to radiate the peace that is accessible within you.

Above all, do not fear. Atmosphere is being injected with the fear of the masses. Agnihotra injects nutrients into the atmosphere that counteract that fear. Therefore, have faith in that which you yourself have experienced. Allow yourself to be uplifted and protected by the purity and healing energies of the Fires.

Increase your attendance in Yajnya whenever possible. Take time to meditate properly whenever you are able. Prioritize your inner self now. This is where the strength will begin to take form and radiate outward for the world now.

These are the very days We had told would come. It should come as no surprise. Continue to use all the positive tools you have—the creative avenues of music and art, of dance. Fill your homes with music and allow yourselves to feel uplifted.

Go within. Go within now.
We are always with you all.

Let these healing fires spread around the world now.
One flame lights the next, and the next, and the next…

Be not afraid of the changes in the world outside you.
Be focused instead of healing from within outward to all whom you encounter.

May you walk in Light.
All Love and blessings.

OM TAT SAT.

Healing with Homa Therapy

Percy Villar Codarlupo and his wife Nathalia Sullon Rivas

Percy Villar Codarlupo
Piura, Peru, South America

I am 45 years old. I want to disclose that before knowing Homa Therapy, I had problems with high glucose levels. I was taking excess medications which caused digestive problems. I also suffered from emotional problems such as depression and panic for having been infected with covid at the beginning of January of this year. I could not find any solution to these problems.

My physical and mental state were altering my nervous system. And I presented problems such as, for example, a disturbing buzzing in my ears (tinnitus), among others.
Between the years 2017 and 2020, I took supplements which helped to control the diabetes. However, when we could no longer afford these (the monthly expenses ran between 2000 to 3000 thousand Soles, which is approx. 800 US$), the problem returned. The diabetes began when I worked in a factory of soft drink and I drank these a lot, without being aware of their harmful effects on my health. My glucose glucose level was between 400 to 500. I almost entered a diabetic coma and took various medications such as Amaryl, Galvus Met and Metformin, to control the diabetes.

Thanks to learning about this ancestral Homa medicine, I am participating along with my wife for two and a half months in these free Agnihotra sessions. I am consuming the healing ash of the Agnihotra fire and I can confirm that I have improved in:
– My mental, emotional, physical and spiritual level
– My respiratory capacity and my digestion
– My sleep has been more pleasant, profound, renovating my energies
– My eyesight is in recovery
– I stopped taking any medication. I now take only Agnihotra ash and my glucose level has dropped to the normal range.
– I feel renewed, I feel closer to God and my family
– In my family environment, good things are happening.

I am grateful to God as well as to Homa Therapy teachers Abel Hernandez and his wife Aleta for sharing and teaching this simple healing technique of Ayurveda. We just got our own Agnihotra kit for our personal practice of Homa Therapy. We want to share these fires with our family, since this Homa experience has given us good results and we want to help other people.

Nathalia Sullon Rivas
Piura, Peru, South America
I’m 45 years old. Before knowing Homa Therapy, I took many different medications for the migraine headaches. When the pills did not have any effect, I had migraine attacks with vomiting and the sensation of a burning head. I had to receive  intravenous medication. These injections also had their side effects. I lived through terrible situations. Many tests  were done. This migraine issue dragged along for over 15 years.
Apart from that, I had a light sleep and I blame my explosive character on that. With the coming of the pandemic this was accentuated further. However, I always searched for improvements in my health and asked God to help me find that improvement.

Then I met Homa Therapy in the Quiñones Park, while walking with my husband Percy, trying to clear our minds. We saw that on Saturdays, a group of people gathered to make small fires and all were sitting in a circle. After a few weeks, I finally dared to ask what this was about. That is when we met Abel and Aleta. They explained it to us, and invited us to participate in the Homa Therapy sessions in the different places in Piura.

At first, I was a bit incredulous; however, I noticed that since the first time I participated, I started to sleep better. And over the course of one week, little by little I stopped taking the medications.

Now, after almost 3 months of attending all the Homa encounters, I stopped taking pills, I sleep better and I feel much better. At the beginning, it was 2 times a week, now, it is 4 meetings per week. For one week, we have had our own Agnihotra kit and we have started practicing it at home, too.

I give gratitude to God for having given us the opportunity to get to know this wonder, which is changing our lives to the better, which is showing us the way towards a life with more harmony, more understanding, more peace and tranquility. I pray to be able to continue with this practice and be able to help others.

From Shree Vasant’s Teachings

On Facing Problems
When you become bogged down with problems think, “Is this important? How important is this in my lie? How does it relate to the following of my Vikarma*?” Then small problems become smaller problems. Problems with more relevance become of immediate concern. We must of course be logical and practical but it is easy to get caught up in small detail and lose completely the vision, the big picture. Keep this in mind.
*The specific allotted task of a person. Completion of one’s Vikarma hastens liberation.-Ed.

On Desires
Throw out the desires and in comes Grace.

On Relationships
Maybe we shouldn’t fight the feelings so hard and also the people who love us. We’re all mirrors of each other. Sometimes we hold up a mirror in front of each other to help us face ourselves and it’s not criticism, just loving help. There may be some conflicts, but most important is when Shree touches us we’re never the same and there is a special light within us that has been kindled. It draws us together, our relationships take on the normal roles (friend, lover, husband, wife, etc.) of society but there is a higher connection that cannot be broken. We get angry with each other or frustrated, sad, happy, etc.–like in normal relationships–but the love is Shree’s Love and it goes beyond all of the earthly ups and owns and is constant. Isn’t it wonderful?

On Service
There is so much suffering in the world. Let us forget our own desires, discomfort, fears. Let us serve others. Then we realize every moment is an opportunity to serve. Then automatically the mind begins to go into that state where there is LOVE all the time. Then even without thinking we do what is best for those near us. We become attuned to the Higher Will and we become able to be truly of service. Every moment is full with Grace. That consciousness one can achieve only with a little TAPA (body and mind discipline.)

Fivefold Path for Happy Living

1. Yajnya
HOMA Therapy is the science of purification of the atmosphere through the agency of FIRE. AGNIHOTRA HOMA (YAJNYA) is the basic HOMA. It is tuned to the biorhythm of sunrise/sunset and gives nutrients to the plant kingdom, removes diseases in a certain area and removes tension on the mind. This is the basic process in the Vedic sciences of medicine, agriculture, climate engineering and interplanetary communication.
2. Daan
Sharing of your assets in a spirit of humility. This corrects imbalance in financial matters and creates non-attachment to worldly possessions.
3. Tapa
Self-discipline of body and mind. This is conducive to a change in attitudes of mind and body. It results in a harmonious state of mind.
4. Karma
“You reap as you sow.” Always practicing good Karma (actions) diminishes the burden of negative Karma and one begins to invest in his own future. This means that what you do today will bring its fruits. Sowing seeds of love and kindness will bless my garden with plenty of love. Do Karma for self-purification.
5. Swadhyaya
Practice Swadhyaya (Self-study) for liberation. Who am I? Why am I here? My work on this planet is to learn to react with total LOVE with each opportunity given to me.

This is the Fivefold Path for happy living on the planet. By practicing the Fivefold Path you become better members of your society, group, religion, community, etc.
