Two Special Purpose Yajnyas in Maheshwar

Sarvajit Paranjpe
Maheshwar, India

The ancient science of bio-energy given through Vedas describes certain energy processes which have the power to effect a change in the functioning of PRANA (life-force which pulsates through us and connects us with the cosmos). These energy processes come under the category of YAJNYA.

AGNIHOTRA, tuned to the biorhythm of sunrise/sunset, is the basic YAJNYA which any person can perform with only a little effort. For the average person, this simple sunrise/sunset Agnihotra is powerful and brings many benefits.

However, there are also more complex Yajnyas that may be conducted to accomplish specific things. There are Yajnyas to be done at the juncture of two seasons when there is a climate change. There are medicinal Yajnyas (HOMAS).

These special purpose Yajnyas can require highly trained personnel to perform them. For example, it would take an intelligent young person about twelve years to learn to properly carry out a Somayag. Those who perform these special Yajnyas begin their training in childhood.

Two special purpose Vedic Yajnyas were held at the Homa Therapy Goshala of Fivefold Path Mission, Maheshwar, India, this winter.

Sautramani Yag
Sautramani Yag was peacefully conducted from 26-28th December 2018. People from Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal participated in the Yajnya.

Sautramani Yajnya (Day 1 and 2)
Sautramani is performed to strengthen and protect ourselves by conserving the dissipated energies. ‘Su’ means Good and ‘Traman’ means Protection.

The purpose of this Yajnya is to strengthen the energies of abdominal fire and sense organs. These are the two important factors through which we get energy for the body to survive and for mind to perceive the world.

Our energies are dissipating through our bad habits of lifestyle and attitudes.

At the physical level, it is mainly our  abdominal fire which digests our food as per Ayurveda–and digestion is one of the most important processes of our body upon which our survival depends. So, strengthening of our abdominal fire is very crucial for our living–ultimately our healthy living. It is this which keeps us energized.

It is through our sense organs that we perceive our world. If the sense organs are healthy, strong and pure, only then we will be able to perceive and react to the world in a right and loving way.

Strengthening and purifying  abdominal fire and sense organs will lead us to a harmonious life of fulfillment. This Yanjya is an indication to strengthen these.

It reminds us that we need to be strong and protect ourselves in this endeavor towards Light, and for that we need to make efforts to conserve and unite our energies.

All living organisms shall get what is needed so ultimately it would lead them to contentment and harmony. This would lead them to the higher goal of Self Surrender and Realization.

As in Somayag and other special purpose Yajnyas, a variety of materials and vessels are used.

Mitra Vinda (Day 3)
‘Mitra’ means Friendship. ‘Vinda’ means To Engross. It is a prayer and reminder to all of us that we all shall walk together engrossed in a spirit of friendship towards our goal of fulfillment in harmony and peace.

From the time we are alive, we will be living with people. We also need a lot of help from the people and we also help people. So, for a peaceful atmosphere we need compassion and friendship.

During the Sautramani Yag, attendees performed Agnihotra together in the shala.

Nakshatra Yajnya
A Nakshatra Yajnya was successfully performed from January 17th to 21st. It was attended by people from India, Austria, Germany, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Japan, Australia, and North and South America.

The Nakshatra Yajnya drew people from around the globe.

For the first three days, different offerings were given separately.

This Yajnya means that we need to put aside our differences and work in a united spirit. It is a reminder to all of us that we will be living with people, and if we want to live we need a spirit of friendship to be with others. For a good and strong friendship we need an attitude of service, acceptance, trust and forgiveness.

We all may have superior talents, but we need to work together in one way or another. We need to harness all our energies towards one common goal.

We need to understand that ‘WE’ matters more than ‘I.’

Prakriti Ishti
1. Agni–It is for all the harmony within the whole galaxy which is around the Sun.

2. Agni Shoma—Harmony in the movements and functioning of Sun and Moon. And they shall get their energy, so they can function well.

3.  Indraya Vaimrudha—All the living organisms—trees, animals and birds etc. shall get whatever is required to satisfy their needs so they can exist happily with each other. And we also say that one shall get whatever is right for them. As in Nakshatra Yag we prayed for different things. But now we are surrendering those to the Divine Will. This means all of us shall receive said things only if it is Divine Will and not because we say so.

4.  Swistha Kruta—To seek forgiveness for all the troubles and obstacles created by us and progress towards the nature, animals and birds etc. Here we seek blessings to do the Yajnyas again and again and we also confirm that we will reduce actions which destroy the natural life rhythms and life forms.

Mitra Vinda followed.

Yajaman D. Achal Apte, right, discusses the Nakshatra Yajnya with students from Adarsh College, in Dhamnod, about 30 minutes drive from the Homa Therapy Goshala.

On several evenings, after the hours of Yajnya had been completed, people from various countries performed songs and music for those present, as a cultural sharing.

Klaus Wilhelm from Austria performs original music for the group.
As during the Sautramani Yag, attendees performed group Agnihotra in the shala.

Scientific Aspects of Agnihotra: Agriculture
–Pests and Diseases (Part 11)

By Dr. Ulrich Berk
Germany

Vedic knowledge says that when we perform Agnihotra, a channel is created above the pyramid, going up 12 kilometers (9.6 miles).

Prana energy  – Life Energy – which lies above our atmosphere, comes down through this channel. Because of pollution, this flow of Prana energy might be blocked otherwise.

When the Prana reaches the Agnihotra pyramid it creates an aura energy field around all plants in the vicinity, which lasts as long as the flame is there.

This makes plants stronger and disease-resistant.

Also it is said that Agnihotra brings Nature back to harmony.

Can these statements be confirmed by modern science?

There are many reports from people who have experienced that pests and diseases were controlled in their gardens and farms. The first systematic studies done by agricultural engineers were done approximately 20 years ago in South America, mainly in Peru.

A fungal disease called Black Sigatoka affected banana plantations on a large scale, destroying up to 90% of the crops. This was especially severe, as in South America banana is a staple food for most of the population. Chemical remedies did not work for more than one season – after that the fungal population had become resistant to these fungicides.

Many farmers were about to give up their banana plantations, and on one of these farms Homa Organic Farming was started, using the resonance technique (in which ten Agnihotra pyramids are energized and arranged in a special configuration, so that by resonance a large area up to 80 hectares can be covered).

According to reports of government engineers, Black Sigatoka infection could be totally eradicated:

There were some quite astonishing reports of how Homa Organic Farming methods have helped to control diseases and pest infestation. I just want to mention two of those before going to some systematic studies on the subject.

The first report was from Karin Heschl about tomatoes in Jaipur area, India. Farming was done with agrochemicals, and the tomatoes were heavily infested with tomato fruit borer.

All the tomato farms in the village were affected. Heavy doses of chemical insecticide were needed 3 times per week.

In one farm Homa Farming was started. After three months of treatment with Homa Therapy the pest infestation was completely controlled.

The subsequent plantings after beginning Homa Therapy treatment were not infested at all.

Also, the yield was double that of the other farmers in the village.

The second report came from Abhay Mutalik Desai, a Homa Organic Farmer from Belgaum area, Karnataka, India. He was growing sugar cane for several years with Homa Farming methods on a 20 acre farm and got good results.

Then in 2005, his plants were surprisingly attacked by woolly aphid. As this should not have happened, he checked whether the Homa Farming methods were done properly on the farm and found out that the farm manager had bought ghee from the market which was not pure cow’s ghee. Immediately he got pure cow’s ghee (and then bought some cows for the farm so that they could produce their own ghee). Immediately after the Homa fires were done with proper ghee, two natural predators – Micromus igorotus and Dipha aphidivora – came automatically and controlled the woolly aphid, and again they had lush, green, healthy sugar cane.

Interestingly, the predators started from the area where the woolly aphid had first appeared.

These two examples show how Homa Farming helps to bring Nature back to harmony.

Later on, more systematic research on the effects of Homa Organic Farming on pests and diseases was conducted in India. We already had mentioned four M.Sc. studies done at the Agricultural University in Dharwad, Karnataka, India, and last time we reported the results regarding yield of soy beans, cabbage, tomatoes, and okra. Now let us see the results regarding diseases and pests.

Soy beans

  • Decrease in the incidence of rust (16-29%) and insect attack (18-43%) were observed due to different Homa treatments.
  • Foliar application of Biosol was found to be effective in the control of rust, pod borer and the control of caterpillar. ( Homa Biosol is a liquid bio-fertilizer based on Agnihotra ash. It is prepared under anaerobic conditions in a bio-digester.–Ed.)

Cabbage

  • Decrease in the incidence of black rot (29-55%) and black spot of leaf (39-73%), head borer (18-69%), number of diamond back moth larvae per plant (25-64%) and Spodoptera litura larvae per plant (40-62%) were observed due to different Homa treatments as compared with organic control not exposed to Homa treatment, but organic control with Homa and conventional control did not differ significantly.

Tomatoes

  • Decrease in the incidence of leaf spot (37%) and insect attack (40%) was observed as compared with Biosol and organic control due to different Homa treatments.

Okra

  • Decrease incidence of Powdery mildew (19-36%) and Alterneria leaf spot (30-57%), fruit borer (16-38%), and Spodoptera litura larvae per plant (48-68%) were observed due to different Homa treatments as compared with conventional control.

These studies show significant reduction in pest infestation and in diseases. The areas of Homa Farming and control were approximately one kilometer apart – which may not be enough to exclude some positive effect of the Homa atmosphere also in the control area. Normally, we advise having these two plots at least three kilometers beeline apart. But even as this distance was not kept they had good, convincing results.

December 2, 2018 On Illumination by the Graces
Yes, yes. Indeed, the signs are everywhere. The planet is headed for, at least, a state of chaos, at most, a state of destruction. Weather variances are wide, frequencies disturbed, energetic portals opening—all indicators of an EXTREME STATE OF EMERGENCY.

The dark energetic forces unleashed in the universe are on the rise. However, we must explain in detail that those of you whose Light has been kindled, whose souls have been awakened, shall indeed rise and be duly strengthened and illuminated by the GRACES, which are as well on the rise.

Those of you who are focused on the Light Work, which has been revealed to you, will be receiving a great boost of energy, as the planet again undergoes a growth spurt, beginning 23rd December 2018.

Yes, be aware of the opposing forces; learn how to protect your earthly bodies from the negative energetic thrusts that come in time.

Places selected for Light shall receive showers of love, strength and clarity. Protection is and will continue to be supported and blessed by the Grace as it unfolds on the Earth.

December 4, 2018 On Creating a Sustainable Future
All of you must not give into fear. If you immerse yourself in the daily news, headlines that are made to create chaos and panic amongst the population…. This is the selected mode of control being foisted upon you by the media.

We have long advised to UNPLUG or, at least, utilize Internet to share your voices, to educate and inform others about viable alternatives and ways to create healthy and sustainable lifestyles, which then create a sustainable future for all of humanity.

When you steep yourself in today’s news, you only weaken the fiber of your being. Be informed, yes, but then learn to create and live in the solutions and resolutions to inspire change in the world.

Speak out for equality.
Speak out for creating safe environments for your children.
Rally in support of NON-VIOLENCE, equal rights for all human beings.

Create farms and communities where you can cultivate land organically and grow food without pesticides, and supply many families with a reliable source of nutrition.

Learn the ‘secrets of the soil,’ the ancient healing fires used to cleanse and purify the atmosphere and live in that rarified atmosphere, providing sustenance for all human beings.

On Rebuilding your Inner Core
Take time to build and rebuild your inner core. Learn to trust your inner voice, your spiritual compass that will lead you home.

There is much to be said for UNITY, for compassion, not pity, for love and forgiveness, and for deep abiding GRATITUDE.

May you walk in Light and in JOY.

Remember, you cannot be BRAVE and fearful at the same time.
You must always choose.

Blessings abound.
We are, ORION

December 22, 2018 On Visualizing and Emanating LIGHT
Yes, yes. This season, despite one’s challenges and one’s environmental concerns, one is called to be the harbinger of hope and the purveyor of profound JOY. It is this calling, which is of utmost importance in the midst of chaos and strife, personal and world issues.

Embrace the JOY, wherever you can, whenever you can. It is essential in raising the consciousness of the planet at this time. It is also necessary in your own lives, to embrace JOY, to overcome and rise above your own physical and emotional limitations in life, to embrace your spirit which knows no limitation.

No matter what dilemmas you are facing, dearest ones, you can rise above them with Grace at this time. At your fingertips are powerful avenues for deep and abiding healing. Joy is the key to accessing those avenues.

We see the planet evolving, though tried and tested by those who would seek to destroy it. We visualize a world of the future, where human beings work in tandem with beloved Mother Nature, abiding by her dictates, championing her calls.

We see your bodies as radiating health, emanating Light into the darkest night. We continue to envision that which is holy, that which is hopeful, that which is summoned by and supported by Grace.

And it will be. It will be.

Blessings abound.
We are,
ORION.

Healing with Homa Therapy

Shikha Sharma Chaturvedi
Westend, Delhi, India

I am 38 years old. I like to share my experience with Homa Therapy. Yesterday was my first time that we practiced Agnihotra. I took some of the Agnihotra ash home. My youngest son is 4 years old and he had a terrible viral infection in the throat. He had much pain. So, last night I gave him just a pinch of the Agnihotra ash and this morning he was fully recovered! I did not see the need to give him even one dose of the regular medicine. So, I definitely want to continue this every day of my life!

We are living in Delhi, one of the most polluted cities in the world. Almost every week, I suffered from allergy problems and had to take medication. So, yesterday, when I entered the Agnihotra session, I had come with shooting pain and something like a lump in the throat. While I was inhaling the Agnihotra smoke, the pain began to go away. And as soon as I had just one pinch of this Agnihotra ash, the pain left me completely, and it has not returned. So, I hope with the Agnihotra practice I do not have to take more medication.

Monk Chen
Acupuncturist, practitioner of Chinese Medicine and
Homa Therapist
Huanuco, Peru, South America

I have 19 years of experience with acupuncture and I have 4 years with Homa Therapy. I have seen many changes, profound, tremendous changes. I had to do generally 10, 12 sessions of acupuncture on many patients before knowing Homa Therapy. But when I started to practice the Homa fires, many patients were healed in just one session. I repeat, this was a very deep change, very strong and very powerful.

My treatments usually were every other day, and in the beginning of Homa Therapy I was worried, because the patients did not come back. But suddenly, more new patients arrived, recommended by them!

The Homa technique increased the potentiality of the treatment of the acupuncture needles. Now patients come even from other countries and other provinces. Sometimes I work until 11 or 12 at night.

As we practice Agnihotra daily, the herbs I use for treatments increase their natural healing power by being exposed to the energy field of Homa Therapy.

When I arrived in Huánuco, 2 years ago, I rented a large office which had a garden in the backyard and this garden was dry. I sat down to do sunset Agnihotra and then I spread the ash to each plant and spoke to them telling them that I love them and that they will be beautiful, precious and strong. And so, it was.

On the next day, there was some rain and they flowered beautifully and had bright shining leaves. Once again, I welcomed them by saying how beautiful they were and they would be even much better. And we continued to do Agnihotra for the good of all nature. Agnihotra helps many things, not just plants.

From Shree Vasant’s Teachings

On Performing Agnihotra
People, perform Agnihotra as much as possible in the center of the room. The Agnihotra pyramid should be kept in that same spot except of course to empty it. If this is done as much as possible and one meditates in that room where Agnihotra is done and sits as closely as possible to the pyramid, the vibrations coming from the pyramid make the endeavor more facile and push the mind in a state more conducive to concentration.

On Anger
People say, “Oh this makes me angry.” “That person made me mad.” Actually, it is all in the mind. Someone cannot make you anything. So, when this anger comes, say to yourself, “I do not need this angry feeling. Go away.” It is unnecessary to put burden on the mind and body by becoming angry. Simply say, “No, I don’t want it.” And keep quiet. Always keep quiet when you have anger. You can deal big blows without anger. You can say the same thing by being firm without all that nervous energy creating disharmony in yourself as well as the atmosphere and the person with whom you are speaking. Keep silent. Let it pass and then speak.

Prepare for the Future
Now we have to prepare ourselves through proper diet, yoga, Pranayama and meditation for the days to come. We have to be a shelter for others. Let us learn never to complain. Initially, it will be hard because naturally things are going to disturb the natural balance. If all of nature is being disturbed, natural cycles disrespected, this is going to affect every living being. Particularly human minds are affected.

On Humility
When you go into this bad habit of thinking that others know a little less than you, you start alienating others when it is so unnecessary This happens to everyone in various situations in each individual’s life. However, simply by adopting a humble attitude toward others, you become an object for greater things to come through you. This strengthens you.

Speak to everyone as if they were your equal. Never look down on another. It is not your place to judge who is better amongst you.

On Self-discipline
Now you will see so much difficulty everywhere. This is a time given WHEN ALL OF YOU CAN RISE MUCH HIGHER SEEMINGLY OVERNIGHT. WITH INTENSE EFFORT, SO MUCH STRENGTH IS GIVEN, STRENGTH TO OVERCOME THE SEEDS OF DESIRE AND ATTACHMENT, STRENGTH TO FORGO WORRY AND DESPAIR. ALL AROUND THE WORLD SUFFERING INCREASES. THE DESTRUCTION OF THE WORLD IS IMMINENT. ALL OF US MUST COME TOGETHER AND MAKE SINCERE EFFORTS TO DISCIPLINE OUR LIVES SO THAT WE CAN BE STURDY FOUNDATIONS FOR OUR CHILDREN AND THOSE WHO COME TO US FOR SHELTER.

We cannot always think of our own comfort. We must train ourselves to become instruments through which the message of Love can pass clearly and unobstructed. If it means a little less sleep, more motivation on our part, who cares? The body can take far more usage than it is given by most people. If you eat healthy diet, the rest you need you will get.

Often our own enemy is our own mind. Our thoughts pull us in many directions when we wish to remain one-pointed So many distractions are there, more now and there are more coming. It never ends. What gradually ceases through discipline and yoga are the pulls of our own minds in opposite directions. We can train our minds to go directly ahead. Make one single effort and the rest is given so easily. It will become more and more difficult to resist even the slightest temptation if disciplines are not applied in our lives. The world is getting such that everyone is going to and fro trying to recall some semblance of order in their lives. It’s just too bad. We must overcome these influences.

On Guidance
Once you make the choice to serve others in whatever way you can, automatically at each turn, you are given these subtle hints and guidance comes through any channel necessary at the time. Guidance can come in dreams, in everyday conversation with a stranger, in reading; even through music, subtle guidance comes.

Always attune yourself to that higher force and you will be constantly taken care of, as if a hand is above you, directing you to your goal.

Always remember to be conscious of the other man. Make effort to be full of love. Guard against envy, jealousy, greed. Keep a watchful eye to prevent yourself from becoming a victim of your desires. Always you will be lifted, if you fall. But you have to make the effort to get the strength you require.

Fivefold Path for Happy Living

  1. Yajnya
HOMA Therapy is the science of purification of the atmosphere through the agency of FIRE. AGNIHOTRA HOMA (YAJNYA) is the basic HOMA. It is tuned to the biorhythm of sunrise/sunset and gives nutrients to the plant kingdom, removes diseases in a certain area and removes tension on the mind. This is the basic process in the science of medicine, agriculture, climate engineering and interplanetary communication.
    2. Daan
Sharing of your assets in a spirit of humility. This corrects imbalance in financial matters and creates non-attachment to worldly possessions.
    3. Tapa
Self-discipline of body and mind. This is conducive to a change in attitudes of mind and body. It results in a harmonious state of mind.
    4. Karma
“You reap as you sow.” Always practicing good Karma (actions) diminishes the burden of negative Karma and one begins to invest in his own future. This means that what you do today will bring its fruits. Sowing seeds of love and kindness will bless my garden with plenty of love. Do Karma for self purification.
    5. Swadhyaya
Practice Swadhyaya (Self-study) for liberation. Who am I? Why am I here? My work on this planet is to learn to react with total LOVE with each opportunity given to me.
This is the Fivefold Path for happy living on the planet. By practicing the Fivefold Path you become better members of your society, group, religion, community, etc.
