Homa Therapy in our Bio-Garden
Colonel Betty Girón Hernández
Chiclayo, Peru, South America

I want to share my experience with plants. Outside the window of the room where I do the Homa fires, there is a rosebush that grows taller than the other neighbors’ rosebushes and it doesn’t have any pest or disease. These roses are so tall that they try to enter through the window.
Their color and aroma are more intense. The flowers are more beautiful and larger. In addition to doing the Fire every day in this window, I sprinkle Agnihotra ash on the soil. Next to the rosebush, there are other shrubs that are also growing faster and stronger.

When I lived in Piura, due to my job, for two years with my family and my parents, we built a bio-garden during the COVID-19 time. My mother was very involved in this garden. Because there was no garbage collection during that time, we used all the organic waste from the kitchen to make compost, burying it and creating a bio-garden. We added the ash from the Homa fires, in addition to practicing these daily, sometimes in the company of many Agnihotris.
At that time, it was very difficult to obtain fresh fruits and vegetables. However, we began to have a wide variety of everything, such as herbs, paico, basil, herbs for seasoning, papayas, caiguas, and passion fruits (beautiful in color and in great abundance), cherry tomatoes, squash, cilantro, aguaymanto, pickled chili peppers, limo chili peppers, cocktail potatoes, purple corn, plums, sugarcane, etc.
Lately, we only threw the seeds in the ground, not even planting them, and many surprises “accidentally” emerged, like the papayas. Although they were only about a meter and a half tall, each plant yielded 50 papayas. Their juice didn’t need sugar. They were as sweet as our passion fruits. The mango tree, which was nearby, also gave us sweet and delicious fruits.
All these fruits and vegetables grew healthy and strong with Homa Therapy. It was a great blessing from God.
We had a whole range of organic Homa vegetables and fruits, which gave us energy, strength, vitamins, minerals, and more. We were able to share a lot of our harvest with our neighbors. It was a true blessing.
Homa Therapy and Tree Seedlings
Agronomist Eng. Luis Tafur Gonzáles
Peru
I have been familiar with Homa Therapy since Shree Vasant Paranjpe arrived in Piura in early 1999, when I worked at the Ministry of Agriculture. Since then, I have been involved with the Homa healing fires on a personal level and also in my work as an agronomist and farmer. I have personally been healed from several illnesses and I was even able to avoid surgery.
Here, I share some recent observations from my farm. I can once again underline the efficiency and effectiveness of Homa Therapy, also in the agricultural field.
Although I have a Homa Resonance Point on my farm, I only apply Agnihotra ash and some other Homa techniques because I don’t live on my farm. But I personally practice Agnihotra daily at sunrise and sunset.
My observations are that just by applying Agnihotra ash, either directly to the plant or in water and letting it soak for three days (sometimes just overnight due to time constraints), the seedlings are:
– stronger
– grow faster
– have more foliage
– have stronger roots
– are more resistant to climate change
With these observations, which I have carried out for many years in different parts in Peru with various climates, I am convinced that plants treated with Homa Therapy have greater healing power and they can fulfill their important role in nature.

In this photo, you can see seedlings of a tree called Tara or Taya. It is a medicinal plant used by boiling its fruit, which is a pod similar to the one of the carob tree, to heal the respiratory system.
These seedlings have been in bags for 5 months.
The first 4 plants (from the left) have been watered with Agnihotra ash solution. As you can see, these plants are larger and have more leaves. The two small plants on the right have been watered with plain water only.

The following photo shows seedlings that have been in bags for 6 months. This plant’s growth is generally very slow. The plants are Romerillos, a forest tree that grows in Huancabamba (a mountainous area of Piura, Peru) and is primarily used for forestry.
These trees can grow up to 3 meters in diameter and 15 to 20 meters in height.
The first four plants are being watered with Agnihotra ash solution, while the last two (to the right of the stick) are watered only with plain water.

This next photo shows Guayacan tree seedlings. The Inca called them, “Tree of Youth,” because they renew body cells. The boiled bark is used for this purpose.
On the right side of the photo, you can see the seedlings watered with Agnihotra ash water, and on the left, you can see the seedlings where only water was used. These are smaller, with much fewer leaves and yellowish foliage.
An agronomist who came to my farm noticed that my bamboo seedlings have many roots. I explained to her that I don’t use any agrochemicals or bio-liquid for my seedlings. I just use water with the Agnihotra ash and put Agnihotra ash in the bags, and that’s enough. She observed that my plants have more than double the number of roots than she gets by applying bio-liquid.
Generally, using bio-liquid surpasses the rooting achieved with agrochemicals.
When I told her I use Agnihotra ash, she asked me, “Engineer, what is this ash? Where can I get it? How much does it cost? I’m willing to pay any price.”
I promised her I would give her some Agnihotra ash. However, she will have to learn the Agnihotra technique to have this powerful ash readily available and be independent.
Truly, my seedlings produce a large number of roots, and this is important because roots are like the mouth of the plant. They absorb water and nutrients. So, if there are more roots, they absorb more water and more nutrients. This way, they grow stronger in every way. The root system is the key for plants. The agronomist and her advisor were astonished and asked, “How is it possible that this can happen?”
We have been given an enormous potential with Agnihotra and its ash; it is a truly amazing thing.
The true service consists of teaching people interested the practice of Agnihotra!
Another experience worth mentioning is that a family lives near my farm where all the children had parasites. They had been given pills for this, but the parasites were not expelled. So, I gave Agnihotra ash to the grandparents and explained to them how to take it. They sieved it finely and gave it to their grandchildren. After three days, I happened to walk by their house again, and they told me that the children had gotten rid of lots of parasites and that they feel fine.
This Agnihotra technique is so generous to all who practice it and take its healing ash. The Earth needs us to do this practice daily. Thinking carefully about what the Earth gives us daily, Agnihotra is the least we can give back to her: 5 minutes at sunrise and another 5 minutes at sunset. OM SHREE
Agnihotra and Healing from Addiction
Mary Lee Weir
Belize
In my original article, “Healing from Addiction: My Journey Through Fire,” published in Elephant Journal, I shared how divine intervention led me from the depths of addiction to a path of healing through Agnihotra and Homa Therapy. From a near-fatal overdose in 2003 to detoxification in the Amazon and profound spiritual guidance from Shree Vasant Paranjpe, my journey became one of profound transformation. I found a way back to life through discipline, daily fire practice, and the unwavering support of mentors and the community. (Read the full article here: [Elephant Journal])
But healing isn’t a one-time event. It’s a journey that requires constant self-awareness, discipline, and support.
2016-2017: The Fire, the Fall & the Return
By 2016, I was still deeply committed to my fire practice—Agnihotra and Homa Therapy remained central to my life. But something was off. Emotionally and spiritually, I was struggling. The pain I hadn’t fully processed was still there, simmering beneath the surface.
Then, for a short but dangerous time, crystal meth entered the picture. It didn’t take over my life the way it had in the past, but it was a rapid, destructive spiral—one I was lucky to escape. I genuinely believe that the fire, along with my family stepping in once again, saved me. The moment I was pulled from that path, I knew I had to quit. And I did.
That’s when I decided to go home to Belize.
In Belize, I reclaimed my sobriety. My fire practice remained, but I also turned to prayer—attending church every day, praying the rosary, and grounding myself in faith. I was healing, but I wasn’t fully ready to face everything yet. I dug into my work, keeping myself occupied and regaining my footing.
2018: The DUI & Another Wake-Up Call
At the end of 2017, I returned to the U.S. but wasn’t in the right headspace to pick up my career. Financially, I was facing some hard truths, and emotionally, I wasn’t ready to step back into the life I had built before. Instead, I took on something mindless—just a job to pay the bills and keep me moving forward while figuring things out.
Then, in March 2018, everything unraveled again.
One reckless night with a stranger led to a DUI. I wrecked my car, and once again, I was forced to confront myself. But this time, I didn’t feel lost. My family and community immediately rallied around me. I was back on my feet quickly—but that didn’t mean the work was done. Sobriety isn’t just about quitting substances; it’s about facing the deeper wounds that led you there in the first place. And I still had a long way to go.
Returning to the Fire
Sobriety is a journey—one deeply connected to trauma, healing, and self-awareness. As an extrovert, I have a powerful energy that needs an outlet. If I don’t channel it, it can become self-destructive. As I approach the sunset of my 49th year, I am only now fully understanding this about myself.
I know this: Agnihotra and Homa Therapy have never failed me.
Even in my lowest moments, the fire was there. It didn’t judge, didn’t demand—it only offered healing if I was willing to show up. Through every rise and fall, I returned to it. Homa Therapy is more than Agnihotra—it is an expanded discipline of healing fires that has kept me grounded through every stage of my life. The structure, the ritual, the energy all provides an anchor, a way back to myself.
For anyone struggling with addiction, know this: Healing is not about never falling. It’s about getting back up, over and over again.
And sometimes, all you need is one thing to hold onto. For me, that thing has always been the fire.

Achieving Highest Consciousness through Agnihotra
Tejas Mahajan
Pune, India
Shri Siddheshwar Genius CBSE School, Majalgaon, (Maharashtra State) India celebrated Agnihotra Day, March 13, in a remarkable initiative to impart ancient wisdom to young minds. Via Zoom, the event was graced by the presence of Dr. Barry Rathner, a renowned clinical psychologist residing at Ecovillage Bhrugu Aranya in Poland. The program commenced with a warm welcome and an insightful introduction by the school’s Principal, Mrs. Mitkari.

Dr. Barry Rathner engaged with students on the topic, ‘The Importance of Agnihotra,’ sharing profound insights into its spiritual and scientific benefits. He elaborated on the concept of Agnihotra, explaining its positive effects on both the environment and human well-being.
The Science and Benefits of Agnihotra
Dr. Rathner emphasized that Agnihotra is not merely a ritual but a scientifically validated practice that offers numerous benefits. He stated, “Agnihotra relieves mental tension. When performed, the Agnihotra smoke gathers harmful radiation particles from the atmosphere and, on a very subtle level, neutralizes their radioactive effects. Additionally, it renews brain cells and purifies the blood.”
He further highlighted its medicinal applications, explaining that inhalation or oral use of Agnihotra ash can help cure depression, migraines, and even addictions to alcohol and drugs.
An Engaging Q&A Session
The interactive session saw enthusiastic participation from students and teachers alike. Mrs. Rohini, a faculty member, posed an intriguing question, “Isn’t all smoke harmful to the lungs?” Dr. Rathner addressed her concerns by explaining the unique purifying properties of Agnihotra smoke, which distinguish it from ordinary smoke.
Students from the 9th grade, including Atharva Bande, Rudraksh Munde, and Arjun Thosar, actively engaged with Dr. Rathner, sharing their thoughts and raising thought-provoking questions. Their curiosity and insightful queries made the discussion even more enriching.
The event concluded on a high note, leaving students and faculty members inspired to incorporate Agnihotra into their daily lives. By embracing this ancient Vedic practice, Shri Siddheshwar Genius CBSE School has taken a commendable step toward holistic education, blending science and spirituality for the well-being of future generations.
Agnihotra is more than a ritual; it is a path to higher consciousness and inner peace. As Param Sadguru once said, “You can achieve the highest state of consciousness by practicing Agnihotra.”
Homa Therapy Experiences
Betty Giron Hernandez
Chiclayo, Peru, South America
I am a nurse, a Colonel on Duty in the Peruvian National Police. In 1998, I was hit by a van in Lima, in July, just before the July 28th national parade. I was arriving in Lima to march when this accident occurred. I was taken into the emergency room. I didn’t suffer anything other than bruises, but in 2006 my left leg started to go numb. I saw a neurologist and was diagnosed with a lumbo-sacral hernia. I continued with my treatment, but in 2013, when I had to take the promotion exam and run, I kept falling during my run, because my leg was lacking strength.
They sent me back to Lima, and they did an MRI. It showed that I had another, additional hernia, obviously a small one. Over the years, I’d been experiencing sporadic and chronic pain and numbness. And the pain only worsened with physical exertion.
In 2015 and 2016, I learned about Homa Therapy through my friend Christian Álvaro, and through him I met Abel and Aleta, and I started practicing Agnihotra, and everything went well.
At the end of 2024, I was experiencing intense pain again, and I had to get injections for the pain. Thinking the pain might be related to the herniated disc, I went to the neurologist, who suggested I get another MRI, because I hadn’t had one in all these years. So, I had the MRI, and the wonderful result was that I no longer had anything, no hernias. Somehow, they were repaired, and I’m currently in good health. The last pain, apparently, was simply due to overexertion, but it prompted this examination.

I practice Agnihotra at sunrise and sunset and consume Agnihotra ash. Initially, I simply took it with water. Now I also encapsulate the Agnihotra ash, making it easier to take daily (like a vitamin capsule, for example).
When we are trained in health science, and for a surgeon, [we are taught that] it is impossible for a herniated disc to disappear without surgery. Surgeons are surprised. However, I attribute it to the Agnihotra fires and the intake of its ash that worked on my tissues to repair and strengthen them. This is my explanation.

This is Roo. She is a bull mastiff, roughly 4 years old. She came to us as a rescue, severely malnourished and underweight. She was 4.4 pounds when we got her and should have been 28 pounds. She was hawk bait. She has done very well and is about 150 pounds now.
This summer she started getting hot spots, the first under her right ear and most recently, under her left ear. My suspicion is this has been brought on by Lyme which she had about a year and a half ago, and had a recurrence, probably because she could not take the standard protocol (Doxycycline).
The first hot spot appeared to clear with conventional treatment: antibiotics and a steroid.
The second, which is in the bottom picture, initially responded to standard treatment but then began again.
This is when we started applying the ash and ghee to the left side of her face. She does not run from this like she does with standard meds. (She never has run from a homeopathic, either). She waits patiently until we are done rubbing it over the area then licks the remainder off our fingers.
The “hot spot” is the dark area directly in front of her ear in the photo. The ash and ghee mix has pulled bloody pus out of the area and Roo is mending nicely.
From Shree Vasant’s Teachings
The Unstruck Music (ANAHAT)
It was the sound of the abstract which Prophet Muhammad heard in the cave of Gare Hira when He became lost in His Divine ideal. The Quran refers to this sound in the words, “BE! AND ALL BECAME.” Moses heard this very sound on Mount Sinai when in communion with God.
The same Word was audible to the Christ when absorbed in His Heavenly Father in the wilderness.
The flute of Krishna is symbolic of the same sound allegorically explained.
This sound is the source of all revelation to the Masters to whom it is revealed from within. It is therefore that They know and teach the one and same TRUTH.
“The knower of the mystery of sound knows the mystery of the whole universe. Whosoever has followed the strains of this sound has forgotten all earthly distinctions and differences.” Inayat Khan.
“In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made.” (St John 1:1-3)
NADA BRAHMA in Sanskrit means Sound, the Creator.
Attunement to this inner music wipes off all loads of Karma and leads one to the state of, “Not my will, but Thy WILL be done.”
This is RE-LIGARE (binding again to the source) from which the word “religion” comes.
This is YOGA. (English word “yoke” means binding the animal to the cart.)
ANAHAT NADA (unstruck music) is the method.
The NEW AGE IS USHERED and this method will be used to lift people up to the HOME OF THE FATHER.
To facilitate this experience in the world of turmoil HEALING FIRE of AGNIHOTRA is the easiest way.
If you keep some rooms of silence all around the world, where only AGNIHOTRA and certain other fires and Mantras are done, tuned to the biorhythms as stated in the science of HOMA THERAPY, you create an atmosphere where automatically the unstruck music manifests within oneself. Believe what you experience.
THE UNFOLDMENT OF THE SCIENCE OF THE SPIRIT BRINGS ALL PEOPLE TOGETHER ABOVE AND BEYOND THEIR RESTRICTED IDEAS OF RELIGIONS, SECTS, AND GROUPS. THEN THEY KNOW THAT ALL PROPHETS BY WHOSE NAME THEY SWEAR CAME FROM THE SAME ALMIGHTY FATHER TO DO HIS WILL.
Fivefold Path for Happy Living
1. Yajnya
HOMA Therapy is the science of purification of the atmosphere through the agency of FIRE. AGNIHOTRA HOMA (YAJNYA) is the basic HOMA. It is tuned to the biorhythm of sunrise/sunset and gives nutrients to the plant kingdom, removes diseases in a certain area and removes tension on the mind. This is the basic process in the Vedic sciences of medicine, agriculture, climate engineering and interplanetary communication.
2. Daan
Sharing of your assets in a spirit of humility. This corrects imbalance in financial matters and creates non-attachment to worldly possessions.
3. Tapa
Self-discipline of body and mind. This is conducive to a change in attitudes of mind and body. It results in a harmonious state of mind.
4. Karma
“You reap as you sow.” Always practicing good Karma (actions) diminishes the burden of negative Karma and one begins to invest in his own future. This means that what you do today will bring its fruits. Sowing seeds of love and kindness will bless my garden with plenty of love. Do Karma for self-purification.
5. Swadhyaya
Practice Swadhyaya (Self-study) for liberation. Who am I? Why am I here? My work on this planet is to learn to react with total LOVE with each opportunity given to me.
This is the Fivefold Path for happy living on the planet. By practicing the Fivefold Path you become better members of your society, group, religion, community, etc.
