With a generous grant from the Krieger Fund, the Baltimore Homa Community was able to offer a second year of their Children’s Summer Farm Program at Ancient Oaks Homa Farm in Westminster, Maryland. Eight groups–over 300 children–came to enjoy a half-day of hiking, drumming, dancing, yoga, sound healing, storytelling, tasty vegetarian lunches and quiet meditation with Homa fire, not to mention lots and lots of free time to just run and play without fear of traffic, violence or bullets.

Purification of Water by Agnihotra June Satsang 2017 | Volume 45 #2 | New Era 74

Scientific experiments also show that Agnihotra and Agnihotra Ash purify water. We are advised to add Agnihotra Ash to our drinking water, and many of us are doing so regularly. Agnihotra on Bali Satsang June 2016| Volume 44 #2 |New Era 73

Bali is a place where much of the ancient ways are still honored and practiced, yet much has also been forgotten, and the westernization of the culture seems to be gaining momentum among the youth here. As Smart Phones and the internet are having a major impact on the culture, the ancient knowledge of the Vedas has also returned and today we are blissfully witnessing a resurgence of interest in Agnihotra by locals and foreign visitors who come to Bali to partake of the beauty and reconnect with nature.
