Following our video which showed our ecovillage, a model of Homa Organic Farming and community living, we were approached by many enthusiastic people wanting to come and visit us.

Our thanks are extended to Mr. C.M. Bhandari, former Indian Ambassador to Poland, and chairman of the conference, and to the gracious owner of the Sulislaw Palace, Mr. Jerzy Bar, who organized this wonderful and important event.

Mr. Bhandari announced our sunrise Agnihotra (at 4:30 a.m.) and not only did nearly 15 attend the earliest sunrise of the year, but nearly three-fourths of the conference attendees and speakers came for sunset Agnihotra as well.

The scientists and practitioners of yoga and ayurveda seemed truly to appreciate the Vedic origins of Homa Therapy.

We were also interviewed by “Yoga and Ayurveda Magazine” and TV/YouTube outlets.

We returned to Ecovillage Bhrugu Aranya enthusiastic and inspired by the connections we made and the joy of sharing the great tools of Agnihotra and Homa Therapy which have transformed our lives.

With a renewed zeal, we turn our focus to continue building the Centre of Light which will serve as a venue for many around the world—to be a beacon for those looking for ways to survive the difficult time our planet faces ecologically.

Parama Dham’s 43rd Anniversary

Ed.

Thursday, September 22nd, 2016 marked the 43rd anniversary of the Parama Dham Fire Temple in Madison, Virginia. Inaugurated by Shree Vasant in 1973, Parama Dham was the first Fire Temple in the world established under Parama Sadguru Shree Gajanan Maharaj’s dispensation of resuscitation of the ancient science of atmospheric purification for the New Age. The name Parama Dham, which means House of Almighty Father, was chosen by Maharaj Shree.

In a Fire Temple there is no priest and nothing is worshipped. Agnihotra atmospheric purification technique is performed there twice daily at sunrise and sunset. Also, a fixed set of Mantras is chanted after Agnihotra. With the exception of the Mantras, silence is observed in the Fire Temple at all times. The atmosphere becomes surcharged with healing energies.

In a separate room from the main temple room, four hours of Om Tryambakam Homa are performed daily, and no moon and full moon Om Tryambakam Homas are also done there.

Regarding Fire Temples, Shree Vasant once stated that, “Time is coming in a few years when extremely strict disciplines will have to be maintained to keep up the purity of these places and the harmony cycles around them. These places will become special refuge for multitudes. It is preferable that they be situated in a large garden area where food can be grown by the YAJNYA method. We need some places in cities also.”

The Madison Homa community observed the occasion with a group meditation at sunset at Parama Dham.

Thanks to the many people over the years who have given their support, in various ways, to help keep Parama Dham going.

How Can Agnihotra Help People who Live in Cities?

Certainly city life can be comfortable and quite convenient in different ways and fun. Usually people have their family, friends, jobs and schools there. Of course, also there can be many challenges. Whether one is aware or not, one has to deal with rising levels of pollution, life occurring at an accelerated pace, health issues, increasing family and job responsibilities, violence and security concerns, emotional upheaval and much stress, to name a few. All this I have seen happening often, as I was born in a big city and lived in big cities most of my life, in Peru and in the United States.

If you are going through some type of struggle in any of these areas; if you enjoy living in the city but are willing to further improve the quality of your life; or if you would like to do something very simple, yet significant, for yourself, your loved ones and at the same time for the environment, AGNIHOTRA can help you very much.

Few people realize the tremendous impact pollution – in the air, water, soil, etc. – has on every one of us, not to mention plants and animals. Pollution not only affects our physical body but also puts much tension on our mind. Air pollution alters the functioning of life energy (known as Prana, and is sometimes referred to as Chi, Ki or other names) pulsating through us, and this disturbance is immediately transferred to our mind. Why? Because the atmosphere affects the flow of Prana, and Prana and mind work as two sides of the same coin. This means that our mind responds to whatever change occurs in the atmosphere. Thus, whenever there is pollution in the air, there will be pressure on our mind, which in turn could create, for example, unhappiness, confusion, disharmony, difficulty concentrating and being efficient, inability to communicate effectively, mental illness, emotional turbulence and disease. That is, pollution affects our bodies, our thoughts, our emotions, the way we feel, the way we react to every situation in life, the decisions we make and, of course, how our body consequently responds and functions.

Nowadays we can see violence rising everywhere, among family members in their own homes, at schools, in workplaces, all the way to wars of all types being fought worldwide.

Also we are witnessing the increase of disease, from mild colds and allergies to mental illness, cancer and degenerative diseases. Certainly many factors and habits can influence our overall health state, but something we are ALL doing is breathing 24 hours a day, and if the air we breathe is polluted, this definitely will affect us on many levels.

Hence the urgent need to do something to purify the air we breathe. Fortunately, there is a solution to this problem and it is so simple, anyone can learn to do it: AGNIHOTRA.

AGNIHOTRA is the main fire practice of what is known as Homa Therapy. This science comes from ancient-most knowledge known to mankind, the Vedas. It states that by means of performing specific fire techniques at specific times, toxic conditions can be removed from the atmosphere. Being tuned to the biorhythms of sunrise and sunset, Agnihotra fire is performed only during those specific times of the day. Agnihotra just takes a few minutes and yet has a profound healing effect on all Nature and people.

What can Agnihotra do for you?
Its daily performance purifies, revitalizes, energizes and restores balance in the air, soil, water, plants, animals and human beings.

It relieves stress from body and mind, renews brain cells, revitalizes the skin, purifies the blood, balances the nervous system, brings peace, benefits the circulatory, digestive and endocrine systems.

It is an excellent aid to bringing physical, emotional and mental health back into balance.

It strengthens the spirit.

It disciplines the mind and allows for more positive and clearer thinking, increased discernment and improved decision-making.

It helps improve relationships and communication with others.

It even offers protection from so-called negative energies.

In cities often people claim to be very busy and their lifestyles at best allow them no time to fit anything else in. Paradoxically, by taking a few minutes of the day to do Agnihotra, one can even gain time as thinking processes become clearer, the mind naturally becomes more disciplined and one is able to make wiser and more efficient use of time.

Also more and more people are finding that incorporating a practice such as meditation or yoga has helped them to balance their very busy daily schedule. They can also benefit from practicing Agnihotra, as it can create a purified atmosphere, which is essential to get the most benefits from their other practices. For instance, a person doing pranayamas (breathing exercises) today can´t benefit as much as a person used to do so 20 years ago, because since then pollution has increased much. However, the same person can surely get the most benefits from his/her yoga practice by being in a purified atmosphere created by the performance of Agnihotra.

From the first moment I did Agnihotra I experienced inner changes which quickly and unexpectedly benefited my overall health. This was just one of the reasons why I felt motivated to continue practicing and teaching Agnihotra and Homa Therapy. This practice has transformed every aspect of my life, and the lives of thousands of people around the world, for the better.

Agnihotra creates a healing atmosphere, a sort of subtle shelter in the home, workplace or wherever it is practiced. Not only that, but it also creates a protective shield around the person who regularly performs it, so wherever the person goes, he or she will carry this healing protection with him/her.

Believe what you experience!
One may find it useful to read about Agnihotra and Homa Therapy or listen to other people’s stories. However, one stands to benefit the most from actually, regularly performing Agnihotra and believing in one´s own experience. I certainly believe in mine. After 15 years of daily practice, having studied Business Administration and Finance at university in the United States, after working for over 10 years in the banking industry in Peru and now happily running my own business, in a nutshell I can say Agnihotra and Homa Therapy is the best deal I have ever heard of. All in all, Agnihotra is a great tool and wonderful material aid for bringing happiness into one´s life.

July 25, 2016 On Championing the Children
Yes, yes. If you think that politics will reduce conflicts and create solutions, think again. The answer will never come from the political arena. There is very little truth in politics.

While the eyes and ears of the world focus on U.S. election process, greater crimes are being created and, one-by-one, freedoms curtailed.

What began in the wake of 9/11 continues at an accelerated speed now, and it is happening on a global scale.

While we do not suggest refraining from exercising your right to vote in any election great or small, we suggest strongly that all of you mobilize your individual groups, families, and friends to create new solutions for increasing education and combatting crime, as and where you live.

As children are the future for humankind, more focus and care need to be directed toward the youth. Especially now, while stress appears to be the norm, with the environment taxed and economic situations often strained—what choices do children have?

How can they learn to create alternatives which embolden them with choice, hope and clarity?

How can they learn to MEDITATE instead of MEDICATE?

New ways of learning require new ways of teaching. If the schools no longer provide the much-needed respite of Creative Arts and Music, the responsibility must rest on the capable shoulders of those of you who rise to the occasion to inspire and champion the children.

August 12, 2016 On Communication from the Heart
Yes, yes. May we speak to this subject? If one side of a paradigm is fixed, unmoving, inflexible and set, and the other side is evolving through effort, uncovering and discovering not only new realizations about themselves, but also new, more effective ways of communication—there can be a standstill between two divergent sides.

What is important to remember here is that, generally speaking, two halves make a whole.

However divergent the thinking may be, it is more a matter for the hearts than the minds. We have discovered that, when the approach comes from the heart, there is far more possibility of successful negotiation and heartfelt communication.

If you choose to lead with your hearts, then this effort must be consistent, no matter how much the heads disagree! If you keep shifting the communication from head to heart, and remaining basically grounded in love, there is not only hope for the future, but probability of success. Yes, successful outcome is possible.

You have no choice but to hear how others feel and interact with respect, even if you cannot agree with their stance on matters. You can agree to disagree, but to come together for the sake of unity and camaraderie, as your hearts would surely dictate. Indeed, follow your hearts.

On Somayag 2017
We now wish to impress upon all of you the vital importance of this final Somayag to be held at the sacred ancient site in Maheshwar, India. The planet is going to benefit from its existence. (This Somayag is to be held at the Homa Therapy Goshala in Maheshwar from February 7th-12th, 2017, and will be the 7th in a series of Somayags at that site; these Somayags have been conducted at the suggestion of Shree Vasant Paranjpe. For more information, please visit www.somayag.org.–Ed.)

On Divinity and Unity
Let us take note that there are many paths to Divine, all of which can lead one to access the higher state of consciousness known as God Consciousness or God Realization. No one group or sect can lay claim to it, and anyone can achieve it if their heart is pure and their aim is true. If it is in their life’s plan, their karma if you will, to reach this highest state of consciousness, all efforts will be made by Higher Beings to lead them to it.

Divine has no preferences as to one’s belief system, one’s way of life, one’s diet, one’s sexuality, or one’s cultural background, race, religion or creed. There is no hierarchy or ladder to climb to reach status or success in spiritual matters.

All are One in the eyes of the Divine, as they should be in the eyes of humankind.

Healing with Homa Therapy

I am 32 years old. I came because I had severe hair loss and at night, I suffered from an allergy throughout the body. Since I was an anxious and restless person and have quite a strong character, I was sent to see psychologist Dr. Jorge Torres. He recommended that I come to the Homa Therapy sessions in the hospital. I started coming and I really felt calm, felt more harmony, more tranquility and my hair stopped falling out. I no longer had that itching all over my body at night.

For me, Homa Therapy is like food for the spirit that helps to put things in order and to control oneself a little.

I am 16. I came to the Homa Therapy sessions, because I was invited and due to my constant suffering from headaches. Now, with Homa Therapy, I feel I’m getting better and I am also doing well in school.

I invite everybody because there is no charge for this therapy. It is for free.

I am 17 years old. Before Homa Therapy my life was messy and everything was more difficult. There were always problems and hardships, not only in my life, but also in the life of my family.

Since I started Homa Therapy, everything has changed. It was two years ago when I was diagnosed with anxiety disorder. This came so suddenly and from nowhere. My mom arranged an appointment with Doctor Jorge Torres and he gave me the Agnihotra ash.

At first, I thought he wanted to drug me, because I was in very bad shape. But then, because he also took the Agnihotra ash, I trusted him. Since that time, I have been taking Agnihotra ash and my life changed radically.

Since I started coming to the Homa session, my family has also improved a lot. Now, even though there are some problems, we are still fine.

Six months ago, I fractured my shoulder. I was going to have surgery, but the cost was roughly 1,200 Soles (approx. 400 U.S. dollars.) That was too much for my family, so I just applied the Agnihotra ash with ghee. One night, on the seventh day, while moving the shoulder, there was a sound and the weirdest thing I had felt in my life happened: The shoulder returned to normal! From one moment to the next!

When this happened, my family said, “Wow!” We all were surprised and they took me to Traumatology. The doctor asked, “What have you done? Have you gone to a bonesetter or did you do some witchcraft?”  I told him about the Agnihotra ash cream and he then said, “You no longer need to be operated on. You’re fine.”

Then later, I fractured the tibia and fibula. I had surgery, but my recovery was very fast. I was told I would be able to walk in eight or nine months, but in four months I could already walk and also left the crutches aside. I applied the Agnihotra ash with ghee every day and had great faith. The doctor was amazed and asked me, “What are you eating?” because I should still have been walking with crutches and limping. But I can even run. I give thanks to God who has brought me here.

 From Shree Vasant’s Teachings

Thy Will be Done
When mind desires something, mind accepts, rejects, mind becomes sad or happy, then bondage is created.

When mind desires nothing, worries about nothing, then it is liberation.

When mind is engrossed in sense pleasure, it is bondage. When mind becomes unattached, it is liberation.

Desire is bondage. “Thy will be done” is liberation. Non-attachment means totally, “Love thy neighbor.” Then you experience the state, “I am in the world but not of the world.”

On Vedas and Pollution
The world has changed in the last ten years as it has not changed in the last ten thousand years.

This knowledge (Vedas) and some of the things I have come to share–information–were known all over the planet. They were known by your ancestors, my ancestors. But in the course of time, the knowledge got lost and is now again being revived by Divine Will. It is absolutely the necessity of the hour to have this information.

There are so many things told about pollution in this ancient body of knowledge which is as old as creation. I will give you a few examples.

It is told that when pollution goes beyond the limit there will be a change in the nuclear structure of vegetables and man will not be able to digest them. How to bring the plant back to its original state? For this, this simple Agnihotra is the method given.

We are told that if things become too bad, then Yajnya is practiced to bring about a change in the sex of the male honey bee so that the male honey bee starts secreting certain hormones which become medicinal for the atmosphere. It helps growth.

How to deal with oxygen, nitrogen-fixing bacteria? How to grow your food by this method? All this is done by Yajnya. So what is Yajnya? Yajnya is the purification of the atmosphere through the agency of fire. Agnihotra is the basic Yajnya.

Agnihotra Nourishes Plants
The ancient science of Yajnya tells us that if you practice this Agnihotra, so long as the flame is going on, there will be thousands of aura energy fields around each and every blade of grass, every plant, every tree in the vicinity. The first effect of Agnihotra goes beyond the planet and it rebounds back to the pyramid, bringing with it nutrients from above the planet. These nutrients get sucked up in these aura energy fields and the plants get nutrition. The plants become happy and give a feedback effect of love to the atmosphere.

Mind Training
You cannot have any expectation whatsoever. Whatever happens, you take your mind with you. You cannot leave it, and along with the mind comes all of its past impressions and desires. The only way to overcome these pulls of desires is to sublimate this mind and the only way to sublimate this mind is to perform YAJNYA.

Fivefold Path for Happy Living

  1. Yajnya
HOMA Therapy is the science of purification of the atmosphere through the agency of FIRE. AGNIHOTRA HOMA (YAJNYA) is the basic HOMA. It is tuned to the biorhythm of sunrise/sunset and gives nutrients to the plant kingdom, removes diseases in a certain area and removes tension on the mind. This is the basic process in the science of medicine, agriculture, climate engineering and interplanetary communication.
  2. Daan
Sharing of your assets in a spirit of humility. This corrects imbalance in financial matters and creates non-attachment to worldly possessions.
  3. Tapa
Self-discipline of body and mind. This is conducive to a change in attitudes of mind and body. It results in a harmonious state of mind.
  4. Karma
“You reap as you sow.” Always practicing good Karma (actions) diminishes the burden of negative Karma and one begins to invest in his own future. This means that what you do today will bring its fruits. Sowing seeds of love and kindness will bless my garden with plenty of love. Do Karma for self purification.
  5. Swadhyaya
Practice Swadhyaya (Self-study) for liberation. Who am I? Why am I here? My work on this planet is to learn to react with total LOVE with each opportunity given to me.

This is the Fivefold Path for happy living on the planet. By practicing the Fivefold Path you become better members of your society, group, religion, community, etc.
