Ecovillage Bhrugu Aranya Summer Update

Suwindi Kadir, Barry Rathner and Parvati Rosen-Bizberg
Ecovillage Bhrugu Aranya, Poland

As wildflowers unfurl across the Polish countryside, Ecovillage Bhrugu Aranya welcomes a season of growth, community and creativity. The long-awaited Centre of Light, the Ecovillage’s flagship ecological building, remains under interior construction. Yet, even in its present form, its timbers and sun-lit panels have provided a vibrant venue for Open Days, musical gatherings, healing circles and small meetings—proof positive that as the structure rises, so does the possibility of hosting larger groups and deeper retreats.

Resonant Discoveries in the Main Hall
Even before its walls are complete, the Centre’s main hall has revealed an unexpected gift: world-class acoustics. Every guitar chord, every voice lifted in song carries with exquisite resonance through the half-finished space. Musicians and singers alike have been enchanted, and the community now plans regular sound-healing evenings and impromptu jam sessions, knowing this unique acoustic chamber will only improve once construction is finished.

Garden Revival, Pollinators and New Life

The warmth of spring and early summer breathed revival into the Ecovillage’s now magnificent Mandala Garden’s vegetable plots, flower and herb beds, and apple orchard. Asia and Rory, along with volunteers and visiting guests, rolled up their sleeves to weed, sow and mulch—transforming our circular mandala garden into vibrant Homa organic fresh produce. Fruit trees awakened under tending hands, while bees—ever attuned to vibrational energy—found their way into Bhrugu Aranya’s thriving ecosystem. One sunny afternoon, during a group meditation, a new colony swarmed joyfully into an empty hive, securing the Ecovillage’s pollination future.

Joyful Visitors: Children, Animals and Outdoor Classrooms
A highlight of the season was a day-long visit from Agata’s Waldorf school group from a nearby city. The Bhrugu Aranya residents treasure these moments when children’s laughter echoes through the fields, their curious hands learning organic gardening, befriending the resident cows, goats, ducks, dogs and cats. These immersive experiences underscore the Ecovillage ethos: learning by doing, forging respectful connections with the land and its creatures.

Deepening Practices: Workshops, Homa and Heart-Centered Retreats
With summer now in full swing, a variety of workshops has been lined up: Mindfulness retreats for city-weary souls, family-focused Hellinger Constellation sessions and free Agnihotra teachings every sunrise and sunset. Workshop leaders consistently praise the distinctive Homa atmosphere—where fire purification supports emotional release and plant communication—citing Agnihotra as an invaluable enhancement that deepens participant transformations.

Looking Forward with Gratitude
While the Centre of Light continues to take shape, the Bhrugu Aranya community grows ever thankful for the support that has brought them this far. Plans are already underway for expanded guest accommodations, larger group retreats and with grace and gratitude, a grand festival celebrating the Centre’s completion.

The opportunity to be a part of the Centre of Light’s push towards completion is yours for the taking—giving actually. This dream of Shree Vasant’s is so close to fruition by opening its doors and taking its place as the oasis it was meant to be midst the deserts of the world. Be one of its doorkeepers.

Agnihotra in the Festival World: Spreading the Fire

Kristopher Dumas
Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, USA

I am Kris Dumas, founder of The Fire with Zen. Sharing the sacred practice of Agnihotra in modern spiritual settings is a deep passion. Bringing this ancient healing fire, a gift from the Vedic sciences, to music and wellness festivals across the southeastern United States has been a focus.

In the past year, hundreds of people have been introduced to Agnihotra through live demonstrations, workshops, and sacred fire ceremonies at sunrise and sunset. Festivals such as Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival, Conscious Soul Festival, and Hope Fest 2025 provided opportunities to create unique

moments of stillness and connection within the vibrant energy of these events.

The commitment is to honor the Vedic roots of Agnihotra while making it accessible to everyone. The Fire with Zen offers a welcoming space, often called the Meditation Station. Festival-goers can:

  • Participate in daily Agnihotra ceremonies
  • Explore the spiritual and environmental science behind the practice
  • Experience guided meditation and Satsang around the fires
  • Purchase handcrafted Agnihotra kits, dried cowdung, and ghee to start their own practice at home

Beyond festivals, the reach of Agnihotra has been expanded through digital and mobile platforms. The Fire with Zen mobile app and website (www.thefirewithzen.com) offers GPS-based Agnihotra timings, educational resources, and a supply store.

Organizing the first Conscious Soul Festival in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, an event centered on fire, healing, music, and community, has been rewarding.

Our thanks to Windrose Trading Company and Triloka Incense for helping to sponsor our participation at these events.

This work is deeply rooted in seva (service) and spiritual recovery, with the goal of making Agnihotra accessible to anyone seeking peace and purpose. The journey reflects how an ancient fire can continue to burn brightly, illuminating paths toward healing and connection for others.

Homa Therapy Experiences

Sonia Hunter
Guayaquil, Ecuador, South America

BEING THE WELL-BEING
I am Sonia Hunter, mother of two wonderful beings: a 31-year-old daughter and a 27-year-old son. I live in Guayaquil, Ecuador, and I am dedicated to Holistic Therapy. I have a degree in Natural Medicine and Bioenergetics, and I have been on the path of self-healing for over 20 years.

My journey began with the personal need to heal and understand myself better. Over time, I have incorporated different techniques that have not only helped me in my own process, but also in that of my patients and people in the community. It was in the year 2000 that a beautiful and deeply energetic technique came into my life that captivated me from the beginning: Homa Therapy.

At that time, I was already working as a Reiki teacher, and many people attended my sessions. I clearly remember my first contact with Homa Therapy. Before starting a Reiki session, I took some Agnihotra ash brought by my then-husband, Dr. Peterson, who had participated in a course about the Agnihotra fire with Homa Therapy Teachers Abel Hernandez and his wife, Aleta. I hadn’t yet learned about the practice, nor had I been present at the fire, but I decided to try the Agnihotra ash.

What I experienced was something out of the ordinary. During the session, my hands emitted vibrant energy and colors ranging from magenta to violet, so vivid that I felt they transcended this three-dimensional reality. It was a revelatory experience.

Since then, I have integrated the healing fires of Homa Therapy and the consumption of its ash into my daily life. The results have been extraordinary, both for my health and for that of those around me. My children, when they were young, used to tell me, “For you, everything is cured with ash.” And perhaps they weren’t so wrong. My mother, for example, was diagnosed with psoriasis on her scalp and also experienced notable improvements with the application of Agnihotra ash.

I have shared this technique with many people and witnessed great transformations. Although I have many anecdotes, but I want to share three that have profoundly marked my journey:

1. The Case of a Tumor and Infertility
A woman in her 30s came to me; she had been diagnosed with a brain tumor that stopped the production of hormones related to fertility. She already had a daughter, but her greatest wish was to have another child. After a Reiki session, I offered her Agnihotra ash to take several times a day. The following week, she returned, excited. She had had her first period in two years. Three months later, she gave me the wonderful news that she was pregnant, something the doctors had thought impossible.

2. A Young Woman with Atopic Dermatitis
A teenager suffered from severe dermatitis caused by a nickel allergy. Her skin was so affected that she wore long clothes to cover the lacerations caused by constant scratching. After attending an Agnihotra fire session and starting to take Agnihotra ash, her skin rapidly improved. The itching decreased noticeably, and over time, she asked her mother to buy her a pyramid so she could light the fires at home every day and continue her healing process.

3. The Eye Drops that shrank an Eye Keloid
On another occasion, a woman from Quito, whom I had never met in person, called me after eye surgery. She had developed a keloid that was causing her great discomfort. Through a friend, I sent her eye drops prepared with Agnihotra ash. Shortly after, her doctor confirmed that the keloid had shrunk by 50%.
[Satsang recommends that Agnihotra ash eye drops be prepared by a pharmacist.-Ed.]

Frequent gatherings with Agnihotris and the general public at the Guayaquil Homa Center, under the direction of Sonia Hunter.

For more than two decades, I directed the first Homa Center in Ecuador, located in Guayaquil. This was a space dedicated to complementary therapies, where every afternoon we held Homa fires open to the community. We organized numerous events in parks, universities, and public spaces, bringing this healing technique to hundreds of people.

Over the years, I have witnessed countless stories of physical, emotional, and mental recovery. I feel deeply grateful, blessed, and filled with love for having the opportunity to share this powerful healing tool.

Homa Therapy has not only transformed my life, but also the lives of many people who have trusted this path of Integral Healing.

I haven’t missed one single Homa Therapy session since I came to know Agnihotra because with it I’m recovering. I had consulted several doctors due to my agitated heart rate; it was beating rapidly. After 24 hours of monitoring my heart with electrodes, I was told that there was nothing wrong. But I had anxiety, I couldn’t sleep, I was fearful, full of fear for everything, and I suffered from high blood pressure.

Then the doctors sent me to psychologist Dr. Marisol, who specializes in complementary medicine at CERP (Center Specialized in Professional Rehabilitation). Dr. Marisol told me that I suffer from anxiety. I was very afraid, which was a fear that I had carried over from the COVID time. During COVID, I couldn’t go to a doctor. It wasn’t easy then.

But thanks to Dr. Marisol, who gave me so much hope and had told me, “You’re going to be healed,” I’m here. She first referred me to yoga, which was very good for me. Then she also invited me to the Agnihotra sessions in this health institution. It was a therapy I hadn’t heard of before. From the first day on, I prepared a liter of boiled water in a jug, adding three tablespoons of powdered Agnihotra ash. I drink it on an empty stomach and also during the day when I want to drink something. In just 10 Agnihotra sessions, I have recovered significantly and feel better.

From Shree Vasant’s Teachings

On Blame
Do not blame anyone at once if you think he has done you any wrong. Maybe he is right and I am wrong. Maybe it is the working out of some past Karmic account. If it is my intention to improve the person, it will not be achieved by abusing him.

On Karma
Take care of your Karma and the rest will take care of itself. First stick to the rule of always
doing good deeds. Then learn to do the same without attachment to the fruit of your actions.

Do unto others as you would want others to do unto you. How can we serve our neighbor? How can our lives be used in service of others? If we are only interested in doing good deeds for recognition or even on a subtler level to have good action done toward us, our motivation is greed. We must  aim to be of service just for that. Then only the rewards we reap, we truly deserve.

When we are doing good deeds under the guise of service but we have ulterior selfish motives, who are we fooling? No one.

Perhaps people will think you are a good man but the Divine is never fooled. Not only  [must] the deeds be good but the mind [must] also be pure.

On Homa
To heal others, healing begins from within.

Many have need of the knowledge you have. Do more Yajnya. It is through Yajnya these desires will be released. Yajnya (HOMA) is the greatest material aid to counteract pollution, reduce stress and disease and make mind full of love…

Now more fires, more fires. Without fire many people will get into fear. There is a lot of fear now. We have to lift people up. We cannot be part of that fear.

There is intense troubling energy now. You don’t feel it, you don’t see it because you do Agnihotra Homa. FIRE ACTS LIKE A BUFFER.

Fivefold Path for Happy Living

1. Yajnya
HOMA Therapy is the science of purification of the atmosphere through the agency of FIRE. AGNIHOTRA HOMA (YAJNYA) is the basic HOMA. It is tuned to the biorhythm of sunrise/sunset and gives nutrients to the plant kingdom, removes diseases in a certain area and removes tension on the mind. This is the basic process in the Vedic sciences of medicine, agriculture, climate engineering and interplanetary communication.
2. Daan
Sharing of your assets in a spirit of humility. This corrects imbalance in financial matters and creates non-attachment to worldly possessions.
3. Tapa
Self-discipline of body and mind. This is conducive to a change in attitudes of mind and body. It results in a harmonious state of mind.
4. Karma
“You reap as you sow.” Always practicing good Karma (actions) diminishes the burden of negative Karma and one begins to invest in his own future. This means that what you do today will bring its fruits. Sowing seeds of love and kindness will bless my garden with plenty of love. Do Karma for self-purification.
5. Swadhyaya
Practice Swadhyaya (Self-study) for liberation. Who am I? Why am I here? My work on this planet is to learn to react with total LOVE with each opportunity given to me.

This is the Fivefold Path for happy living on the planet. By practicing the Fivefold Path you become better members of your society, group, religion, community, etc.
