Centre of Light–A Rare and Timely Project

December 5, 2025
Dear Friends and Homa Family,
At a time when all of us—especially our youth—across the world are searching for
stability, healing, and meaningful ways to reconnect with Nature, the Centre of
Light at Ecovillage Bhrugu under the umbrella of Homa Therapy
Foundation, stands as a rare and timely project.

This is An Opportunity for High-Impact Giving
The Centre of Light is nearing completion. The structure is built; the land is ready;
the community is trained and active. The final phase — interior completion — is
what now stands between this project and its full functioning as an international
healing and educational centre.

Your support at this level will contribute to:

  • Completion of essential interior infrastructure (wood flooring, doors,
    bathrooms, lighting, furnishing)
  • Installation of a fully functioning kitchen capable of serving workshops,
    trainings, and residential retreats
  • Opening the Centre to year-round programs in Agnihotra, Homa Therapy,
Ecological living, Self-development, Art & Music Therapy, Yoga
  • Expanding our capacity to receive individuals, families, young people, and
groups seeking healing, resilience, and practical tools for living in harmony with
    Nature

This is more than a building.
It is a long-term investment in human well-being, ecological restoration, and
spiritual resilience — a contribution with generational impact.

Why the Centre of Light Matters Now
The healing power of Agnihotra and the unique energy of this land have already
touched countless lives.

Completing the Centre will allow us to:
Offer structured healing programs for individuals and families
• Train a new generation of young practitioners and ecological leaders
• Host international workshops, retreats, and ecological research
initiatives
• Provide a sanctuary for those in crisis or transition
• Expand our outreach to communities seeking alternative ways of living in harmony with Nature

Homa Farm Tenjo

Maria Teresa Nuñez
Tenjo, Colombia

I have been the caretaker of this beautiful Homa Farm for 12 years. I have been able to observe how many things have changed and improved under the influence of Homa Therapy with its fires that nourish nature and bring balance to the place and to the people who live here every single day.

Visitors constantly say that they feel a great sense of peace and tranquility when entering the gates to this farm.

The bananas, guavas, and oranges that grow on our Homa Farm normally grow at 1,000 to 1,200 meters [3,280-3,937 feet] above sea level, yet they grow at 2,600 meters [[8,530 feet], which shows us the power of Homa fires.

These fires of ancestral knowledge have transformed this space, which was previously degraded and barren, into a beautiful garden where those of us who live here feel like we are living in a paradise on earth. We have a variety of trees, flowers, fruits (27 different kinds), and birds of various types that bring us joy, especially when we listen to their concert while performing the morning and evening Agnihotra.

Of course, this transformation did not happen overnight. However, it was worth every effort because now we have fertile land where figs, blackberries, peaches, pears, beans, apples, guavas, plums, blueberries, avocados, balú, tree tomatoes, papayas, plantains, guamos, lemons, churuba, passion fruit, hibiscus, cherries, eugenias, myrtles, figs, raspberries, strawberries, etc. grow. In short, it’s magical and wonderful!

Now we can harvest all these wonderful, healthy fruits! We turn some of the fruit into jam, desserts, etc., and we cut and dry some of them.

Homa gardener Don Miguel

We also have a variety of vegetables, culinary and medicinal herbs for our own use, and they are excellent.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our Homa gardener, Don Miguel, who loves his work with the land and does all the necessary applications, fumigations, fertilizing, etc. using the ash from the healing fires of Homa Therapy.

Pranayama (rhythmic breathing)

This article by Shree Vasant Paranjpe was originally published in Satsang Vol. 2, Issue 23, April 17, 1975.–Ed.

Mind and PRANA are linked. PRANA may be translated as vital energy. On the physical body, we have a well laid-out nervous system. If you can imagine something subtler than the nervous system on another sheath which we wear, it may correspond to what is described as the NADI system in the ancient science of Yoga. The day is not far off when the material scientist can start exhibiting the sequential flow of this PRANA under various stimuli. PRANA may be depicted not per se but by the emanations of energy patterns.

The knowledge that PRANA and mind are linked is a great asset to the applied scientist. In AGNIHOTRA, the smallest process of purification of the atmosphere through the agency of fire, the same principle is involved. When the effect of AGNIHOTRA is experienced by persons coming from various cultural backgrounds, professing different religious faiths, belonging to different nations, surely this is enough basis to begin to investigate this process from the point of view of modern sciences.

Here is another proof of how PRANA and the mind are related. Any person who has been practicing PRANAYAMA, the rhythmic Yogic breathing, for some time, knows the tranquility that comes by its practice.

The word PRANAYAMA was wrongly translated into English as breath control by the people who were not so familiar with this science. PRANA is not breath. The movement of a fan blade is dependent on electricity but it is different from it. So is PRANA different from breath. The movement of rhythmic breath sets into motion something that works on the NADI system. A few minutes of proper PRANAYAMA helps keep one fresh and energetic the whole day.

Now please listen carefully to what I say. You will have a big asset in hand if you learn PRANAYAMA. However, you have to learn it from a proper teacher. PRANA is described as SHAKTI (power). By proper practice of PRANAYAMA you acquire control over this power. Control over this power is synonymous with victory over the mind.

“God said let there be light and there was light.” This is how Creation takes place. Hence, in the Vedas, it is described as SANKALPA, i.e. affirmation of the Divine.

Mind is all SANKALPA. By achieving victory over the mind you acquire the Yogic SIDDHI (thaumaturgical power) which is called SANKALPA SIDDHI. It is victory over all atoms of Creation. It means redemption from the cycle of birth and death. It is the merging into universal consciousness. It is the first experience of “I and my Father are one.”

PRANAYAMA is the science of controlling the PRANA SHAKTI. To be able to do this, one has to study the ASANAS, i.e. Yoga postures first. PRANAYAMA is to be achieved with slow practice. One should not rush things while learning PRANAYAMA. It is risky to do so and is likely to do more harm than good. Steadily, brick by brick, the structure is to be built. The physical frame has to be tuned up and made agile. The conductance of the wire has to be increased to be able to bear the voltage that rushes in. It is a victory which leads to the highest reward of human existence. The highest reward is liberation from the clutches of desires of TANHA as Buddha, the Blessed One calls it. This leads to NIRVANA or liberation.

An important suggestion for those who have had some practice of PRANAYAMA. With implicit faith, meditate on the meaning of the following Mantras:

  1. SHUDDHOHAM: I AM PURE

The dross accumulated due to attachment to worldly things is dissolving. My mind is unburdened. I have no attachment to the fruit of my actions. I offer all fruits of action to the Lord. Each one of my actions is for self-purification. I have no hankering after desires. My mind is reaching that stage of no-desire. Whatever comes is His Will.

  1. BUDDHOHAM: I AM ENLIGHTENED. I am Buddha.

I am not the sense organs. I am not the mind. I am not the intellect. I am the Spirit that is beyond these three. The strings that bind me to the cycle of birth and death are being snapped.

  1. MUKTHOHAM: I AM FREE

I have snapped all the bonds of Karma. I am free from the cycle of birth and death.

  1. SWIWOHAM: I AM MADE IN THE IMAGE OF MY FATHER

My qualities resemble His. Verily I say, I and my Father are One. I have the command over all Creation.

SWADHYAYA (Self-study) is the fifth aspect of the Fivefold Path given through the Vedas along with Creation and reiterated by all the prophets, saints, Avatars and Divine incarnations. It is self-study. It is study of the Self.

While meditating, do the above SWADHYAYA. While moving about in the world, be in the world but not of the world. SWADHYAYA knows no vacation. The experience of this state is the summum bonum of human frame. When this is achieved there is no duty left as such to perform. There is nothing that remains to be achieved. Knowing this there is nothing that remains to be known. “I and my Father are One.”

Homa Therapy Experiences

Yaneth and Wilson Moreno
Granja ‘El Paraíso’ (Paradise Farm)
El Roble
Colombia, South America

Mrs. Yaneth:
Since we started Homa Therapy, the plants are greener, the colors are more vivid, and they all remain in bloom. The fruit plants are bearing more fruits, and those that did not bear fruit before are now doing so! For example, the blackberries, tree tomatoes, and lulos, which used to bear almost no fruit, now do!

Now, the cows produce more milk and stay healthy. Before, we also had losses with the animals because they got sick and died. This no longer happens. We give them Agnihotra ash in their water.

And our family is very close-knit.
Whenever we go out for an activity, we try to be all five of us. Before, there was a very heavy energy and we were always arguing, but not anymore! Now we talk and try to stay united and set a good example for our children.

Don Wilson:
Before doing Homa Therapy, we had many difficult years. We planted trees and plants, but they didn’t grow. Now you can see the change, the development, the growth. Now we work hand in hand with nature, with the environment. This fills us with more love, more health.

Our animals are also friendlier. We have always lived in this area and the animals were skittish and it was difficult to work with them. We already wanted to leave this area, but now everything is very different.

At the family level, we felt a heavy energy. Everything was problems and more problems. Now, the five of us sit at the table, we pray together, we believe in God, we surrender ourselves, and feel very happy every day.

The energy now feels very beautiful in the family, with the plants and animals. We live up to the name of our farm: El PARAÍSO (The Paradise).

Their daughter Angélica:
We have felt a change since we started practicing Agnihotra Homa Fire. We have felt the blessings with the plants, with the animals, and being united as a family.

At school, I am doing very well in my studies, and I am getting better grades every semester. Every time I read a book and summarize it, I remember very well what I have read, and my attitude toward others has also changed.

Sr. Marco Antonio, Yaneth’s father:
I have known my daughter since she was born, and I see that she has improved a lot in her way of being and in handling all family matters. Since they have been practicing the Homa Fires, they have had many positive changes.

Our horse named Carreto had an accident and was injured.
By applying Agnihotra ash twice, the first time with ghee and then just the ash, Carreto was healed.

Graciliano Triviño
Turmeque, Colombia

I had been suffering from reflux or heartburn for about three years. I was taking medication, but I no longer need it, thanks to drinking water with Agnihotra ash. I am very grateful for the teaching of this healing fire of Homa Therapy.
Many greetings and blessings.
Om Shree

From Shree Vasant’s Teachings

Householder’s Path
THIS IS A HOUSEHOLDER’S PATH. IT IS NOT A PATH OF RENUNCIATES.

On Obstacles
We talk of obstacles as if they can never be overcome. This is not correct thinking. Any obstacles can be overcome, any. Do not be at the mercy of the obstacles. Keep your eye focused on the task at hand but keep your mind occupied with Mantra. Do SERVICE. Practice the simple age-old teachings of, “LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF,” as given in the Fivefold Path. Then it is simple. Then it is very simple.

On Difficulties
So much trouble is there now, great difficulty being faced by all. So in this light you have to be grateful your troubles are so small in comparison to others.

A New Age is Dawning
A NEW AGE IS DAWNING. IT IS THE BEGINNING OF A WORLD FULL OF PEACE AND BLISS BUT FIRST OF ALL THE OBSTRUCTIONS MUST BE REMOVED.

Fivefold Path for Happy Living

1. Yajnya
HOMA Therapy is the science of purification of the atmosphere through the agency of FIRE. AGNIHOTRA HOMA (YAJNYA) is the basic HOMA. It is tuned to the biorhythm of sunrise/sunset and gives nutrients to the plant kingdom, removes diseases in a certain area and removes tension on the mind. This is the basic process in the Vedic sciences of medicine, agriculture, climate engineering and interplanetary communication.
2. Daan
Sharing of your assets in a spirit of humility. This corrects imbalance in financial matters and creates non-attachment to worldly possessions.
3. Tapa
Self-discipline of body and mind. This is conducive to a change in attitudes of mind and body. It results in a harmonious state of mind.
4. Karma
“You reap as you sow.” Always practicing good Karma (actions) diminishes the burden of negative Karma and one begins to invest in his own future. This means that what you do today will bring its fruits. Sowing seeds of love and kindness will bless my garden with plenty of love. Do Karma for self-purification.
5. Swadhyaya
Practice Swadhyaya (Self-study) for liberation. Who am I? Why am I here? My work on this planet is to learn to react with total LOVE with each opportunity given to me.

This is the Fivefold Path for happy living on the planet. By practicing the Fivefold Path you become better members of your society, group, religion, community, etc.
