Holy Fires for Healing the World
Birgitt Heigl
Homa-Hof, Heiligenberg, Germany
Approximately 250 visitors enjoyed the various activities and the loving atmosphere at this year’s summer gathering at the Homa-Hof (Agnihotra Center with farm) in Germany. The well-organized program and the wonderful weather ensured a pleasant atmosphere, good spirits, interesting conversations and new acquaintances.
Some visitors arrived the day before with their motor homes or tents to help us with the
preparations. Lecture and catering tents were set up, benches and tables were provided, and a circular path almost 1 kilometer long was marked out on the farm grounds.
The program began at 2 p.m. The first visitors arrived about two hours earlier, so there was plenty of time to park and settle in.

We held three events in the large tent during the course of the day. The first lecture was an
introduction to Agnihotra. This was followed by the main lecture, ‘Sacred Fires for Healing the
World,’ in which Agnihotra and other Yajnyas were examined from a new perspective. Why and how do sacred fires, especially Agnihotra, work? What role does the pyramid shape of the fire bowl play? How can the amazing experiences with Agnihotra be explained? These and other questions were expertly answered in detail and yet in simple terms.
At the third event, we asked visitors to share their experiences with us. The interesting contributions amazed everyone or inspired them to follow suit.
Three times a day, we offered a guided tour of the farm grounds, during which we passed on
interesting facts about the Homa farm at each station: At our Yajnya pavilion, where an OM
Tryambakam Yajnya ran throughout the afternoon, the Yajnyas were briefly explained. At the bee house with a showcase and 24 bee colonies, everyone learned interesting facts about Homa beekeeping. The tour continued with explanations about the orchard, the vegetable fields, the pond and the foil tunnel where cow dung is dried.

For the children there was a puppet theatre about Agnihotra, written by a member of Homa-Hof and performed with puppets she had made herself. It was well-received, not only by the children.
Visitors kept gathering in the courtyard in front of the Homa-Hof, where a potluck buffet was
provided. Every year we are delighted with the many vegetarian delicacies that visitors bring with them. To drink, we brewed liters of tea from our herbs and served fresh water from our farm well.

In the forecourt there were also stalls selling Agnihotra accessories, Homa vegetables, honey, apple juice and literature. As a special offer, there were book packages at particularly favorable prices and CD packages on a donation basis, an offer that many visitors gratefully took up.

This year we deliberately left more room for simply being there, for joyful encounters and enjoying the Homa atmosphere. A joyous and relaxed atmosphere prevailed throughout the day, which culminated in the evening with the group Agnihotra and a view of the setting sun.
Some visitors stayed overnight to let the day fade away. The next morning, we had breakfast
together and then took down the tents within two hours; benches and tables were cleared away, and the courtyard was cleaned, all in all a wonderful community experience. We are deeply grateful for experiencing how Agnihotra connects us!
New Publications of Shree Vasant’s Teachings
Ed.
Sarvajit Paranjpe, grandson of Shree Vasant Paranjpe, has recently published two booklets of Shree Vasant’s teachings.
Inner Witness is described as:
“Our inner witness, that is our subject today. Who is this He who resides within? What happens to this He all the time? If He resides within, why all this misery in life?
“Mind is a tiger, a roaring tiger. The mind is like a monkey; not only a monkey, but an intoxicated monkey; not only an intoxicated monkey but one which has just been bitten by a scorpion. Mind is like that all the time. So, all these forages of the mind have to be reduced; they have to be stopped. Even if they are reduced then there are some chances of happiness. You can never experience the witness within unless these jumping’s of the mind like a monkey are reduced. When you do this, you start getting glimpses of joy.”
The Work Must Go On is described as:
“When a Guru or spiritual leader leaves their physical body, it can be challenging for their disciples. However, it is important to remember that the teachings and values that the Guru embodied must continue to guide and inspire us. In this context, the phrase ‘Work Must Go On’ takes on a deeper meaning, as it reminds us that the work of the Guru, which is to spread wisdom, love, and compassion, must continue even in their absence.
“By embodying the teachings and values of the Guru, deepening our spiritual practice, and contributing to the growth and evolution of the spiritual community, we can honour the legacy of the Guru and ensure that their work continues to inspire and transform lives.
“Parama Sadguru left His mortal coil on 6th December 1987. After a few months, Shree Vasant was on a USA tour. During this, He visited Parama Dham, Madison, and gave this message to a group of devotees on April 8, 1988.”
Our thanks to Sarvajit Paranjpe for making these teachings available. Both publications are available from Amazon.com.
Farming with Agnihotra

I use Agnihotra ash on my farm with 200 mango and other trees and the results are astounding:
1.Visible growth spurts
2. Larger leaves on lotus flowers and tulsi (basil) plants.
3. Fruit-bearing increases, even on small trees
4. I observed magical effects on almost all types of fruit plants
5. Due to limited quantity of Agnihotra ash, not all plants receive it at once — but even small quantities bring remarkable vitality.
Agnihotra Experiences
Isabel Newcomb
Falls Church, Virginia, USA
A week ago, while visiting my son’s house in Madison, Virginia, I listened to a conversation between two people. I approached one of the gentlemen and asked about the healing fire he mentioned.
I had shingles five years ago and I suffer from post herpetic neuralgia. The pain was unbearable. I have seen 18 doctors (neurologists, anesthesiologists, pain management, geriatric, internal medicine, psychologists, dermatologists, Chinese alternative medicine doctors) but they didn’t help me.
I also sought the help of acupuncture, acupressure, reiki, a shaman, an osteopath, a CBD specialist, massage therapy, silent retreats at a monastery, prayer groups, monks, spinal block and botox injections on my back.
I have tried prescribed medicine, over-the-counter pain killers, patches, Chinese herbs, marijuana leaves tea (I bought two plants and my family frowned on me), and CBD. I fasted and tried several diets, plus laser lights, electrical stimulation, etc.
For the previous seven months I had “vegetated.” I was only able to get up in the morning and walk my dog five or six times a day, sometimes at 3:00 a.m., because walking was the only thing that helped me with the pain. I do not take any medicine or over-the-counter pain killers. I would rather live with pain than deal with side effects.
The gentleman I approached at my son’s house sent me a little book, “Light Towards Divine Path” and as I read it, I saw the words that my late brother had been sharing with me all my life. (I found out later that my brother
had done Agnihotra for many years.) I reflected on what I was reading—love and love towards our fellow man.
The gentleman called me the next day and told me he had made an appointment for me with Lisa Powers. I went to her house and she shared a presentation on Agnihotra with me and answered my questions. She invited me to her home for the sunset healing fire.
Lisa and I both did Agnihotra on her porch, and we sat for a while afterwards. For part of the time we sat, I was pain free!
The next day I went to the Parama Dham fire temple for the sunrise healing fire. For several days I went to Lisa’s home for the sunset Agnihotra and to the temple for the sunrise Agnihotra.
After three days, I was able to sleep! This was a blessing because I have spent my nights walking and in pain. The pain also became bearable and manageable (from 10 it is now level 3 or 4.)
I am very grateful because I am able to live my life again. I have energy, I can take care of my son’s home and help with his dogs. I am able to cook my meals and be on my own for the first time in five years— and I am no longer imposing on my family. I am a very independent person and like to take care of others.
To me, it is short of a miracle how my life has changed this past week. I am myself again.
Dr. Ravindra Bhosale
MBBS MS General Surgeon
Bhosale Hospital, Ahilyanagar, Maharashtra, India
While most think of hospitals as places of medicine and machinery, God has created a space where healing meets devotion.
At Bhosale Hospital, during surgery timings, when the time for the sacred Agnihotra fire coincides, I perform Agnihotra healing fire — right in the operating theatre. I look at it as my seva (selfless service).
What I observed:
1. Calm & focused OT atmosphere.
2. Natural fumigation & purification of the surgery theatre.
3. Spiritual grounding for both patients and staff.
4. A sense of sacredness in the process of operation and healing.
I am practicing Agnihotra for the last 5 years and here are some of my personal healing experiences:
1. My BP (blood pressure) reduced from 140/100 to 138/88.
2. My pre-diabetic condition was reversed.
3. I only recently began consuming Agnihotra ash for enhanced health.
Spiritual Atmosphere in the Hospital:
1. From 7 am to 7 pm, the hospital resonates with devotional music and chants.
2. Patients and visitors often express, “It feels like a temple, not a hospital.”
Bhosale Hospital provides general surgical care, specializing in abdominal operation.
From Shree Vasant’s Teachings
On Guidance
If you are properly attuned, you will be guided moment to moment by Grace. That guidance is there. It is like a a channel you tap into. You choose to be aware or not. You can tune it in or tune it out. If you miss a meditation timing, you are allowing your vision to become cloudy. Say to yourself, “I am only an ordinary person. I am only an instrument for Love to spread and nothing more.” If you have that attitude, then when you open your mouth to speak, the words you will utter will not be your own They will be given through you and truly you will become an humble instrument of Divine Grace.
On Service
Every moment is an opportunity to serve. Every breath taken is in itself a blessing. Give totally of yourself to the Fire. When you perform Agnihotra you are serving.Just be full of love. It is your work to be full of love, to listen to the hardships of others, to be available to help others.
When you are willing to give selflessly in the service of others, your time becomes the Divine time. In other words, surrender. Then, whatever you think, whatever you do, whatever you say becomes an occasion and the Divine works through you.
On Keeping Problems in Perspective
When you become bogged down with problems, think, “Is this important? How important is this in my life? How does it relate to the following of my Vikarma?” Then small problems become smaller problems. Problems with more relevance become of immediate concern. We must of course be logical and practical, but it is easy to get caught up in small detail and lose completely the vision, the big picture. Keep this in mind.
(Vikarma–the specific allotted task of an individual. Doing one’s Vikarma hastens one’s liberation.-Ed.)
On Building a Better World
Wishing is not enough. It is good to have positive thoughts for the world, but how to build a better world? AGNIHOTRA WILL HELP THE ENVIRONMENT.
We have the greatest tool for combating world pollution (AGNIHOTRA AND YAJNYA). Times are changing. Things are getting much worse.
Now, just before the end, the tides will turn. All Yajnyas. All places of Fire. AT THESE PLACES PEOPLE WILL BE SAFE.
Those who perform the Fire rebuild the atmosphere. Angels will come.
Now the job becomes not only farms but how to plant trees, how to start new forests so that people will have oxygen to breathe.
We have to build farms all over the world based on Yajnya.
It is time for us to rise up and take care of the entire planet and beyond.
WE DO NOT CLAIM AGNIHOTRA TO BE OF ANY RELIGIOUS ORIGIN. IT IS PURELY SCIENTIFIC, TAKEN FROM THE VEDAS. IT IS A TOOL WHICH ALLOWS US TO BECOME MORE UNDERSTANDING OF THE PROBLEMS OF OTHERS, THE PROBLEMS WE ARE FACED WITH IN THE WORLD, THE NEGATIVITY, THE POLLUTION. THIS ITSELF ENABLES US TO BECOME MORE FULL OF LOVE. HENCE, SCIENCE PAVES THE WAY TO THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN WHICH LIES IN EACH OF US.
This is the answer to be given to all the universe. Le the planet vibrate the message of “Love thy neighbor as thyself.” Let Agnihotra be taken to all the people all across the globe.
Fivefold Path for Happy Living
1. Yajnya
HOMA Therapy is the science of purification of the atmosphere through the agency of FIRE. AGNIHOTRA HOMA (YAJNYA) is the basic HOMA. It is tuned to the biorhythm of sunrise/sunset and gives nutrients to the plant kingdom, removes diseases in a certain area and removes tension on the mind. This is the basic process in the Vedic sciences of medicine, agriculture, climate engineering and interplanetary communication.
2. Daan
Sharing of your assets in a spirit of humility. This corrects imbalance in financial matters and creates non-attachment to worldly possessions.
3. Tapa
Self-discipline of body and mind. This is conducive to a change in attitudes of mind and body. It results in a harmonious state of mind.
4. Karma
“You reap as you sow.” Always practicing good Karma (actions) diminishes the burden of negative Karma and one begins to invest in his own future. This means that what you do today will bring its fruits. Sowing seeds of love and kindness will bless my garden with plenty of love. Do Karma for self-purification.
5. Swadhyaya
Practice Swadhyaya (Self-study) for liberation. Who am I? Why am I here? My work on this planet is to learn to react with total LOVE with each opportunity given to me.
This is the Fivefold Path for happy living on the planet. By practicing the Fivefold Path you become better members of your society, group, religion, community, etc.
