Important Agnihotra Buddy App Update

The Agnihotra Buddy app is the only Agnihotra timings app recommended by our Certified Homa Therapy teachers. It is free and available for both iPhone and Android phones. In addition to sunrise/sunset timings, the app features sound files of the Agnihotra mantras, to help with pronunciation. It can also give reminders when Agnihotra time is nearing, and give a countdown to the exact Agnihotra time for your location.

In the last two weeks, some users experienced problems with the Android version. Dr. Ulrich Berk and the developers apologize for any inconvenience during that time. An updated version is now available. If you have been using the app, please uninstall it and install the new version.

They address all the features of the app: settings and customization, adding a new location with or without Google Maps, renaming and deleting locations, common issues and more.

In future, if you experience any issues with Agnihotra Buddy, either for Android or iPhone:

  1. Uninstall the app, then reinstall it
  2. Watch the aforementioned tutorials
  3. Use the online timings program at  https://www.homatherapie.de/en/Agnihotra_Zeitenprogramm.html until the issue is resolved

(Note: People sometimes see sunrise/sunset timings in weather reports, almanacs and newspapers, which differ from the timings given by the Agnihotra Buddy app or the Homa Therapy Agnihotra online timings program. There are different definitions of sunrise and sunset. The timings given through Agnihotra Buddy and the Homa Therapy online timings program use the specific definition of sunrise and sunset for Agnihotra; therefore, they should be used for Agnihotra, rather than other sources.-Ed.)
